It's really got me stumped where these rumours have come from.

https://www.politico.com/story/2011/07/the-evil-of-rupert-murdoch-059405
it pretty much sums up the Murdoch modus operandi, package fear and hate and sell it to the masses.

Investigative journalism is an unnecessary overhead. It's far easier and cheaper to write opinion articles and editorials telling the hordes what they want - nicely packaged outrage in small soundbytes that are easy to consume.

He brought the "news" to those not bothered to understand the subtle nuances of economic policy or the implications of political ideology typically found in broadsheet using words they didnt understand.

Murdoch is purely a symptom and not the cause of where we are today.

Murdoch only gives the people what they want, and unfortunately it's bullshit that garners the most clicks.

But did it exist before Murdoch? And if it didn't, then isn't he much more than a symptom? I get the feeling he's much more than a by-product of what people want. I think he is much more influential than that.

oh he's very influential, he's the King maker, the one that anoints Prime Ministers and Presidents.

A cancer to democracy.

It's a corporatocracy, the masses are merely given the illusion of a democracy.

In the words of George Carlin - " it's called the American dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it"

Irrespective of the source of these rumours, its a reminder that what you say in the online space, can and does have real life implications.

As much as I dislike the Broncos as a club, its not acceptable for an individual to have their names smeared across the media the way Seibold has (or others in the past). The damage to the reputation is one thing, the mental effects on the person(s) involved is another.

The relationship between RL and the media is toxic. Journalists cannibalise the very game that earns them a paycheck and there has to be accountability.

There's banter and then there's slander. Most know the difference, the rest are on a slippery slope.

Wasn't Kevvie was it?
He was top of my list, but Kev and Darbs are too bit obvious... are we allowed to speculate?? OK cryptic - what about Valley - Enclosure or Scottish Mountain - Icon?

End of the day, it's probably just someone on the Broncos board trying to get him to move on with minimal payout.

But does anyone know anything about this Karl Morris everytime I see his head it looks like it is still stuck in GPS school scrum and yet knows nothing about running a footy team or club.
Isn’t he the one that wanted old Clint out the door because he wielded too much power around the club

Don't know much about him, other than the fact he likes the double chins

and that he's apparently QLD's 6th-most powerful person (whatever that's supposed to mean):

He is part of the problem then.

Seibolds stint at the broncos is a case study who to ruin an nrl club.

1. Get the coaching job under dubious circumstances.
2. Turf out all your experienced and hardest working players asap so you can promote teenagers into the starting side.
3. Hold no one accountable for anything, especially your high paid players who are phoning it in.
4. Alienate the former players who actually were part of making the club great in the first place.
5. Use every excuse under the sun rather than having an honest look at the issues.
6. Get flogged by 50 points numerous times and only drop wingers.
7. Make a bloke who probably should be in jail captain. A guy who has achieved nothing in the game, nothing at all.
8. Continuously select the love child of the previous coach regardless of his efforts, and allow his treasonous and cancerous nature to poison the minds of the entire squad and totally undermine efforts.

My first act as coach would have been retiring/firing/removing Darius Boyd.
