No your dead right. I joined up last year for some stupid reason, but was directed to this thread by a mate at work.
I remember giving it to Wally Lewis something shocking for about 1/2 hour straight. He turned at me , smiled and blew a kiss. Thats how you react. Not by asking the bloke to step outside. I wanted J.Lang as a coach at Manly but now the little skirt can rack off.
And No, I wasnt at the game as i dont live anywhere near Sydney.
Wow. You're a troubled individual. A coach reacts to dickhead fans and suddenly he's a skirt?
You constantly rip on players while watching games? Yet claim that the stories in here are made up and that fans wouldn't do such things. Yet you yourself are guilty of some of the things people are bitching about here?
Grow up. No teams supporters should be excused for acting like dickheads. Namely to other teams supporters. Hate the teams all you want. Cheer your own team on as much as you want. But swearing at and insulting players or coaches for no reason other then not being the one you like is childish. The stuff that people were screaming out is beyong being a footy fan. Jeez.

Also, if you're going to try denying that things happened. Atleast be present to make sure they didn't.

There is no necessity, no reason whatsoever, for the Manly fans to treat the Penrith fans the way they did. You're defending the indefensible.

I didn't think it possible but you've exceeded expectations. Post #2 is more moronic than your first. You attempt to link and equate the sledging of players to the intimidation & abuse of rival fans and reason that they are both part of 'the game' and on par.

I'll accept that players, to some extent, are fair game and should expect to receive some sledging from the crowd. Opposition fans should also expect to receive some degree of sledging which usually is accepted (& given) in good humour. NO fan should have to accept intimdation, abuse and drunken spittle from a boof-head element that could obviously care little about enjoyment of the game and more about pickling their liver as quickly as they can in life.

I'm looking forward to post #3 to marvel at your growing stupidity.

You were there were you buddy?

If true, your statement is correct, but how can you take the words of some muppets on a forum?

You're precisely the kind of mentally unstable neanderthal who gives this game a bad name. What people have also overlooked is that this behaviour is actually illegal - think about what would happen if someone came up to you in the street and started doing that?

Don't you think it's being bias because that was written by a Panthers fan against Sea Eagles fans? Every fan from every team doesn't like others, no one team is special

Doesn't really suprise me, I haven't been to Brookvale since 1994 i think? (It was the year that North Sydney player Peter Jackson had that back injury and it was his comeback game) Norths Vs Manly at Brookvale, The place is outdated and a disgrace, I will never go back there not even if i got free tickets to a Manly Vs Eels match at that hole.

I can't stand the place, Some Manly fans at Brookvale are total f**king dickheads, They prolly even fight with there fans, You can't even sit down, Your always standing up, You have drunken Manly fans who are that pissed always knocking into you, I've even heard Ray Hadley on the radio when they broadcast games there that all you mostley see is Drunken Manly fans still getting served beer (Which is against the law BTW, Yes i have done my RSA), I have been to many Bulldogs & Eels games over the years and never had the problems that face you at Brookvale and i've only been there a few times, Never again, They should just burn the place to the ground.

Possibly some level of bias BUT the complaint wasn't about being sledged - it was the venom and manner in the way it was done. It was the initimdation element. It was the lack of personal comfort (seats being pushed) and the invasion of personal space. It was the drunken loutish behaviour. It was being sprayed with beer spittle from a boof-head that had long since passed being anything rational. It was the in-your-face yelling.

It vividily illustrated an element that most adults have witnessed and experienced in the past.

In-excusable.

Alcohol should be banned from games.
I dont see how you cant surivive 2 hrs without an alcohol type of drink.

Sure, some people might get plastered before the games, but those that are you can tell and you refuse them entry.

Dunno about that SAAB. Most people can manage to drink and not become a complete dickhead.

I love a beer at the game though. A lot of people do. I just think it would be tragic if a bunch of dickheads ruin it for the vast majority.
And most of the home games I go to I'm with a client from work, so I can't drink but I usually get a beer or two for him. So I can enjoy the games without drinking, but I'd like to have the opportunity to have a drink if I want to.

Thats a great littlle story you written there.
Did you think of it as you were heading home after being crushed in the final minutes of the game.
What is sad is that someone needs to come on here and post utter nonsense all because the Panthers were beaten by the better team.

EagleEarl. You are a complete dropkick. I was one of those Penrith supporters who went home covered in spit from morons that you seem intent on protecting, so don't try and tell me that we made it up. Why don't you go back to Manly beach and bury your head in the sand you d**khead.

every team has there element of d!ckheads, and we certainly have ours so this story does not surprise me. albeit I bet it has been exaggerated!!!

as for banning beer, no f**king way. I enjoy having a beer at the footy with my mates and sometime I enjoy getting sh!tfaced whilst there :) Takes away the pain when we lose.
