Nooooo Justin is our leader! He is an integral part of our team on and off the field. I have no doubt we can still be a dominant force in the forwards without him but he just puts that extra grunt and leadership into our pack

That is true but poore is the first guy to make a hitup and the first guy in a tackle and I think he commands alot of respect and players like weyman look up to him. As i heard weyman say in an interview not long ago. He's really been missing playing next to him

Our forwards haven't missed a beat since he was injured, I'm not sweating on his return. He's just finding himself as a front row leader and discovering what he can do in the game. If he wants to chase the dough I won't loose sleep over it. However, i'd love to see him stay and mature under our present coach!!

I wonder if he'd be willing to take unders purely for the chance to stay with bennet. just a thought

sh*t I reckon Poore is Worth 300k per season, good young front rowers aren't cheap. I'd make Poore and Creagh a priority. B. Morris is goneski I reckon.

Frank stayed for unders in 06, knocking back much bigger dollars from Easts and Parra.

If our offer is fair & not ridiculously off that of the Sharks, then I doubt he'll be going anywhere.

i want him to stay with us so badly. we need someone like him at the club. u know he's organising a charity dinner for Rwanda for July?? i just love that having a man with that integrity at our club.

plus he kills it on the field.

spot on dubo.
whatever happens with poore happens.
"Bennett isnt stupid" - thats right. he also isnt stupid to get into a huge bidding war over a prop.
Poore is pretty good, but its funny how some people seem to have short memories. Only a few months ago, some here (and other forums) were saying "now that Ryles is gone, we're stuffed cause poore is not capable of steeping up to be the no.1 prop"

Let's all follow the mantra "In Wayne We Trust" - its worked so far.

I'm thinking 250k per year, but have incentives re: rep games etc. Have the opportunity for him to earn close to 300k, but not a base salary.

Poore had a great season last season, was one of the best props in the competition. I can't believe some people are already putting Weyman ahead of him.

I think justin will stay, champion bloke doesn't seem the type to piss off on us for a few more bucks but i could be wrong.
hope like f**k he stays, weyman being at the club could influence the decision as he and the horse played schoolboys together and from all accounts were pretty close.
fingers crossed

will everyone still stress if taylor comes?

not saying he is coming, just putting another option out there.

if taylor comes, one of the props is going

In all, the Dragons have 14 of their top 25 players off contract, including Dean Young, Ben Creagh, Mathew Head, Luke Priddis, Beau Scott and Wendell Sailor. The situation will allow coach Wayne Bennett to make significant retention and recruitment changes that will put his stamp on the team.

The question is then, of the 14 players coming off contract who would we like to see stay & who gets the flick?

For mine Creagh, Morris, Scott, Poore, & Young are too important to lose.

Why on earth Stanley was retained only the good Lord himself knows. I guess he can only get better.

H'mmm

In Wayne we trust is spot on, he is the best buy this club has made for some time.

But as Uncle Wayne reads this forum, I think it is up to us to advise him.

Wayne, YOU NEED TO RETAIN JUSTIN.

Just my thoughts.
