H'mmm

In Wayne we trust is spot on, he is the best buy this club has made for some time.

But as Uncle Wayne reads this forum, I think it is up to us to advise him.

Wayne, YOU NEED TO RETAIN JUSTIN.

Just my thoughts.

GO

does he read the forum? hey benny boy. you the man keep it up

Poore has a lot of roots in the Gong, he's a family-oriented guy plus he runs his own gym/personal training business down there. You'd think it would have to be a pretty monumental offer to coax him away

Poore loves the joint.

Him and Weyman are great mates

His Bussiness is down in the gong

300k is a lot and honestly i cant see Wayne offereing him any more than that with the amount of young Front rowers coming thru

However i really hope he stays, 2 seasons ago i was his biggest critic but he's worked bloody hard and come good....

I want him and Weyman as our front row combo for years to come

He's looking to expand his business into the St George area (next year) and he lives close enough to Cronulla so I'd expect that the Sharks would be the biggest threat. In saying that he'd have to get a damn good offer to go.

His increasing nous for business should tell him that the Sharks may not be around long enough to fulfil their end of such a big offer ;-)

My guess would be:
Poore will resign for 3 years for around $265K (taking him up to 29/30).
This will mean that Sir Wayne will have enough under the cap to put over $400K in front of K. Hunt.

Following the weekend, I've also heard that Nathan Friend is quite keen to pull on the Red V in 2010. Not based on anything substantial, just a conversation with someone at the Dragons.

Why on earth would GC not be fighting to retain him? Does he have leprosy or something, because he's playing top footy.

Nathan Friend would be ideal but you would think Young has teh No.9 jersey stitched up. If they get him cheap he would be great.

I think that there are a couple of players who have been Red V stalwarts, who haven't got anything stitched up beyond their next bad game.
It seems to be working too: I haven't seen the Dragons play with such desperation for a long, long while.

Hardly think the number 9 is stitched up.. Far from it.

In fact there is no stitching around the halves or at hooker. We need atleast one good buy in one of those positions and then we are really talking..
