Positives for 2023

My positives for 2023:

- Spine: Gutho, Dylan, Moses, and Hodgson/Rein (Arthur?) - may not be perfect, but is decent enough to drive a top 8 team.
- Middles: RCG, Paulo, Matterson, Hopgood... and Makatoa (?), will likely lose one (Matto) to cover our edge and would look better if Nuikore was still here - but is decent enough to lay a platform for a top 8 team
- Edges: Lane should build on what has been his best year so far - as long as he's not our only attacking threat out wide (i.e. has a foil replacing Ice on the other side of the field)

Since it's a positive thread, I won't delve into the other aspects that can't qualify to be listed above!

We have a bunch of young blokes in NSW Cup.

So? Maybe they won't be seen as good enough untill 2025. Or maybe the guys in NSW cup are seen as just marked as average and no better then what have.
I get the impression from what I been told the good ones are still in Jersey flegg like Larry and a few others. So won't be ready next year.

Positives for 2023, we’ll still have Pou to tell us all about RL. Because none of us have a clue apparently even though he’s about as right as often as anybody else. And you being his shadow will be backing him up constantly with barely an opinion of your own.
Neither of those things are positives...and besides, you are just Jake the Snake's shadow FFS!

I'll start:

We've proven we that we can win big games.
Halves pairing of Moses and Brown are another year older/wiser.
Sean Lane has established himself as a leader and will be strong again.
Will Penisini will have a breakout year - Dally M centre of the year.
Hodgson is all class. I predict he will be strong in the 14.
Hopgood and possibly Martin if we can jag him will be good replacements.

I reckon the premiership window bullshit is just that...bullshit. Easy to focus on the players that are leaving but I still think we'll be fine.
This is your best post in about 10 years. Perhaps 12??

I'm with you - the only loss of note is Rheed, and I think we needed a more dynamic runner of the football there. Injury is a concern for Josh, but if fit he is an upgrade.

Mitch made Papa. Matto looked good outside him the past, we shall see who he makes look good at right edge next year.

Dare I say it, excited to see how Barrett improves our attack.
