Thought I'd give this a crack again.

Creagh: Amazing. Nuff said.
Wicks: Very good. His hit ups were great, and I thought his defence was very solid. His one on one monstering of a Knights player was very impressive.
Ryles: Was solid for most of the game, seemed to slip into old ways in the last 20 and his dropped ball/loose passing lost us momentum.
Williams: I thought he kicked too much, and didn't give the ball to his centres. Tried to be a bit too flash, but then that was my impression. He defended at centre instead of 5/8 too, which was a bit frustrating.
Wes: Played well, but he should not be defending at 5/8. Not his fault I'm sure as Browny must have told him to defend there, but we really missed Coops ability here.
Woolford: D'oh
Morris: Outside of a few dropped balls, pretty solid.
Lulia: Solid without being flashy. Thought he might have an injury concern as I sa him drop off a tackle clutching his left arm.
McDougal: Played ok without being amazing
Hornby: As good as always.

Forgot the rest.

Couple of points:
* Our 5th tackle option by Williams wasn't always flash.
* We lacked a lot of execution, and a little bit of patience.
* Our ruck suffered from the loss of Woolford quite a lot.

I'm a fan of Wes, but last night was one he won't be watching over & over on tape. The late withdrawal of Cooper would play havoc on any team's defensive set up, but Wes seemed to have it on his mind the whole game. Numerous defensive lapses (not through laziness - just wrong options) meant he got isolated time after time.

Positives: Ryles had a 5 star game - apart from an error or two. Having said that, with the team down by 4 points & not long to go, as co-Capt, I liked seeing him stick his hand up for the pill - even if it gets dropped once in a while.

Creagh is becoming a magnet - players are drawn to him in attack & defence. Not a Prop, but a player that EVERY team would love to have.

With limited opportunities, our Baby Backline did exceptionally well in attack. Guarantee that those in charge of the purse-strings at other clubs were watching Lulia, J. Morris & Stanley with great interest.

Overall, the forwards were a little below their best, & I think Payne might be sitting on the sideline if he gets cited.

The knights powered over the top of us in the last 20. Their forwards were eating up the metres while we were out on our feet. Stamina is what killed us.

Postives: Creagh

Negatives: Where the f*ck was their drive to win ? We should have been them comfortably, but lacked the killer instinct.

P.S I don't know how you can say Wes played good, he was aweful in defence & made simple errors. As usual tried his hardest, but was very poor IMO.

Nice placement. Nowadays the brain washing is so good that people do it without knowing. That's Gold :thumn

I think the young forwards will take/learn a lot out of that game. IMO we will hit our straps after round 12. if we can win 6-8 of those games we will finish top 4. in fact bookmark this.

Yeh, I watched the game again today.

I gave Wes way too much credit.

yeah i noticed Wes getting caught out of position a few times, btw i am interested in what constitutes an onside player, when Wes got sinbinned that play would have been pretty close to have gone 10 metres forward and thus just curious if it was to go back the 10 would he still get penalised? Highlights for me were Creagh and Ryles, both guys seem to have lifted, Ryles seems to have relished the captaincy. I dont know how we will go this year, but if we are able to keep the same group of players over the next few years we will be up there again hopefully. BTW this year the competition really does look to be really competitive between the majority of the teams, should be a great year of football

Not many positives. Creagh and Ryles were good but both also made costly errors. Ditto Josh Morris. I agree with borat, they just ran out of puff. The short turnaround after the Titans game - which was played in searing heat and at a cracking pace - came back to bite our big boys hard.

The injury list keeps growing - more good news. Woolford, Scott, Cooper and Peek join Gasnier, Morris, Young, Head and Isemonger. At least we get Poore back from suspension - the Cowboys must be shaking.

What the f**k did Ryles do this time?

f**k me drunk. We'd just gotten over this freaking injury curse the last few years only to have it come back in spades for 2007.
