Positives

Although tonight was a heart breaking loss, I and I hope many other fans have got the idea out of our heads that we are unable to mix it with the top teams. We should have won tonight, and this is the main positive for me. Moors and Utai killed it, and if Benji and Farah set a good platform I think we can go all the way this year. Call me optimistic or whatever, but I'll still be hoping and praying.

PS. How good did Simona look at Fullback, if he was fullback we would finally have a back 3 that SPRINTED at the defensive line!

Moors provides a hell of a lot for us....mobile and can bend the line....close to the line...he is a dangerous quantity.

Very underrated.

I use to watch a fair bit of the BRE Tigers before moving out of Sydney. Moors, in my opinion, deserved to get more game time over the past few years as he is a good footballer. I use to think back to the start of this year and how Sheens stuck by young Groat and wonder why Moors wasn't given a go.

Yes, after watching the replay I tried to work out who was off the field at the end, no back was, they were all still there. Was this an indication as to what Sheens might do in the next 2 weeks? i.e. Fulton to 9 if Farah is out?

All good points.

I thought we deserved to win and were the better team. Our pack really stood up and Utai, Koro and Simona showed how important it is to have fast strong outside backs.

Moors was dangerous and surely has to stay in the squad. I thought BMM played well as well. It gives me hope for when Ellis leaves.

I also thought Blair was angry and really tried hard. We obviously paid too much for him and it was a mistake. To add to that Anasta for next year is an issue in that where do we play him.

I think that game showed how you don't need a huge number of play makers. You need players who can run it back hard and break the line. Then all you need is a couple of play makers who are in form and killing it. Benji was a little off last night but Farah was on fire. That was all that was required to take it to the best team in the comp.

Benji was absolute rubbish last night. If he plays well and offers some support to lone man Farah we probably win.

The positives were the effort, which was excellent. Farah clawed us back in the game, Moors was outstanding, BMM was good, Galloway was great for most of the game. Fulton's defense was outstanding yet again and he was the reason we scored our first try.

Anasta is playing in the halves next year, that's the end story.
He signed with us because he hated lock at the roosters and wants to be a playmaker.
Also adding to that, Sheens and Anasta have had a strong relationship from Kangaroo squad and Sheens rates him highly.

Id cop him at 7, move Marshall back to 6 and give Anasta the kicking duties and let Benji concentrate on his game.
Anasta can defend and has the long boot that we lack.

Anyway. I can't find much wrong with last night and just want to forget the game and look forward to next week.

A change of pace, I looked up stats regarding us for Golden Point.

We have won 4 times, and lost 9. 2 of those Victories have been this year, with 2 losses also this year. Not looking good especially in a competition which is so close. It really needs to be adressed. They seem to be able to kick field goals fine when they dont matter (ie. Vs Eels) but when it's crunch time it all goes pear shaped.

I think id like to see this Koroibete go to fullback, He needs the ball in his hands as much as possible.
I think he would excel in broken field play up the middle of the park.

Marshall has been a star at halfback this yr and was good again last night and Moltzen caused the opposition plenty of damage ( although the drop ball was horrible but he was injured -which is why is Simona came on)

Last night saw Moltzen shit all over Benji.

I think Simona went to fullback briefly as Moltzen appeared to go off for a short period with a dislocated finger. Judging by his defence when he came back on, I'll be surprised if his finger is fine, because he looked like he couldn't even move his fingers.

The thing that struck me was that second try to the Bulldogs (to Reynodls). We used to be the team that did that crazy shit.

We've now become this watered down, controlled, restricted unit.

That does have its advantages, but when our attack is so severely hampered by it, then something needs to happen.

He is effectively doing to Moltzen what he has done to Farah, doubling his duties but the difference is Moltzen offers nothing at the back and alot in the halves.

It is just mind boggling.

Also I am calling it now, as soon as Lawrence is back we have seen the end o Marika for the year in NRL
