I think my girlfriend should get the job. Her first comment ever made whilst watching a game of Rugby League was:

Jamie Soward comes on screen-

"Ooooooooooh he is a grub isnt he?"

That sorta post from AlwaysGreen is why more girls don't post here by the way.
Which post? This one, which came with a sarcasm icon:
Well that rules you out. If they wanted a chick with the looks of sterlo you might be a chance.

Or this one?

Did I say you were ugly? Did I say Sterlo was ugly? I don't even know what you look like and don't care to know. And ftr my name is Errol.

Pretty mild compared to some of the stuff dished out in this thread.

It's true, people often stop me on the street and ask me if I'm Peter Sterling.

Now if you don't mind, I'm gonna go cry myself to sleep because a dude
hiding behind a username on the Internet said I was ugly.

Well, firstly they obviously don't know what you look like! For record, very attractive.

Secondly, for a dragons supporter you are a good gal (joke)

Simon Woolford was never cut out for public speaking and the fact Fox Sports have axed him is a good thing in my opinion. Nothing against him, I just dont think he was suited to that particular role.

American Football uses female sideline reporters and has done for some time. They interview the coaches / players at half time and pass on their words of “wisdom”. They discuss substitutions, injuries or areas the coaches want to focus on etc and they do an excellent job.

I think Fox are taking a positive step forward by including women in their broadcasting mix for Rugby League.
Yeah it's already happened in the NFL MLB NHL NBA CFL to varying degrees
I recall watching Tampa Bay-New Jersey game back in Montreal about 4 years ago on RDS which had an all-female broadcast team, they were good too

Yeah I do recall a rather hot lady interviewing Jonathon Toews (Chicago Blackhawk Captain) in between periods. Thought she did a great job as this big fella towered over her all sweaty and stuff, he was not being rude he is just big and was on a break. Anyways all her questions were relevent and he certainly did not mind.

hahaha oh dear i knew I shouldn't have clicked on this thread

just because this forum isn't filled with chicks doesn't mean we don't know anything about footy.

Let's be honest, even if the chick they hire looks like Gisele Bundchen and has the footy smarts of Peter Sterling, you guys will still find fault with her because she has lady parts.
Agree completely
I dont understand why some people still maintain women dont belong in sports Broadcast/Journalism it's just asinine
Jackie MacMullan;Liz Robbins;Claire Smith;Marlen Garcia;Selena Roberts;Christine Brennan;Lisa Olsen and Rosie DIManno are all excellent sports writers
