there are a number of women who do a very good job of sideline reporting in the AFL, never mind the girls that work for ESPN, NBC, ABC on the NFL in the states.

They're journos that know a bit about sport, there is no difference between them and some one like Voss. actually it'd make a nice change to get a slightly different perspective than the inane dribblings of ex footballers who are brain damaged from years of taking hits.

Given the amount of whinging and abuse every League commentator cops on here, I am certain a female commentator would cop less vitriol than her male counterparts "because she has lady parts"!

As I alluded to before, even if they picked some tits and arse bimbo like Paris Hilton she would have nothing LESS to offer than the likes of Ben Ikin, Wally Lewis or Mark Geyer!

Y have a sideline caller at all. just get a work exp kid to get the inside info, pipe it through to the broadcast team. Id prefer they spend their money on technical commentators rather than fluff.

The standard has been set so low by the majority of male sideline guys that a female wouldn't have to be that great to be relatively better.

There's quite a few good young female journos in sport, get one of them to do this and odds are she'll be at least as good if not better than some of the male idiots who've done the job.
