I see in NRL forum theres a thread saying Luke Lewis wants a release.

A Panther
A back rower
A test playet

Ticks the Sheens pre requisite boxes.

Sell blair to penrith, pick up lewis.

That would be smart of him but i think we all know that he wont sign Lewis. If he did he woud probably force him to play Front row
However will probably sign a centre ad turn him into the next "brad clyde".

No, no, no! The guy is so so overrated. Runs the same inside line 15 times a game, always good to give away one or two penalties a game and guaranteed will make two or three errors a game pushing passes or looking for a miracle play.
Good defender though.

No thanks on Lewis. Will take Jennings though.

At 28 years of age, Lewis is at the wrong end of his career. We've done well to purchase Pettybourne and especially Thompson. Augment these with the young forwards coming through and upgrade contracts where necessary. With Galloway, Blair, Farah, Bell and Woods there is a core of experience already.

Ellis was 28 when we signed him.

Furthermore, Blair was 25 when we announced we signed him.

case in point right there.

Lewis would be a better signing than Anasta or Blair and would improve our pack markedly, could even get rid of Hino.

I can't agree with you. Our good young forwards have tremendous skill and signing Lewis, another ageing player commanding a big salary, sends the wrong message to them.

Blair at 25 has a good 5 years in him and he seems like a durable type.

Blair will be very durable i think, if u dont put your body on the line its hardly likely to ever wear out!

Experience in the forwards is very good to have, especially Lewis who is a test player currently, as well as a state rep.

He'd perform much better when in a side with a world class 9 and 6.

Ben Murdoch should be playing prop if we are able to snap Lewis.

This is one of the few players who Sheens rates, is good, and Lewis actually gets on with him very well.

A bit of genuine experience is good

the props workload would reduce with Lewis in the pack

I can't believe this is even up for debate. Lewis is an absolute gun and would be a huge signing. But we really don't need Anasta if we did get him.

BMM is a disgrace at the moment. His defence is not up to first grade level. If he can't move up and play effectively in the middle at Prop, I don't see him having much of a career.

You are dreaming that we are going to sell Blair - But you would be happy to know that he is a chance to miss a week after being charged by the match review committee

I cant understand the hate for Lewis he is a top player ,plenty of heart also which might rub off on some members of our forward team . ellis gone , lote gone get rid of heighno and I can't see why we couldnt sign him up .I am sick of the line that we have got enough second rowers coming through when it is just not happening .
