Ellis was 28 when we signed him.At 28 years of age, Lewis is at the wrong end of his career. We've done well to purchase Pettybourne and especially Thompson. Augment these with the young forwards coming through and upgrade contracts where necessary. With Galloway, Blair, Farah, Bell and Woods there is a core of experience already.
Experience in the forwards is very good to have, especially Lewis who is a test player currently, as well as a state rep.I can't agree with you. Our good young forwards have tremendous skill and signing Lewis, another ageing player commanding a big salary, sends the wrong message to them.
Blair at 25 has a good 5 years in him and he seems like a durable type.
the props workload would reduce with Lewis in the pack
is that for his hit on Tuqiri. You are dreaming that we are going to sell Blair - But you would be happy to know that he is a chance to miss a week after being charged by the match review committee
is that for his hit on Tuqiri.
Should get 3 and a half years for that....
