Brett Morris is no good at Origin level. You need wingers with high workrates who will get in there and make the hard yards towards the end of the game from dummy half. Morris does not do that. QLD have always had the advantage because guys like Hodges, Tate, Folau get involved. And with whatever crappy halves combination Stuart will choose I'm sure Morris won't get the space that he gets at the Dragons.

How many errors and stupid penalties does Gallen have to give away before people on here stop picking him in their teams? Aggression is great in Origin. But Gallen takes it too far sometimes and this QLD team always takes advantages of the Blues mistakes. I'm sure he'll get picked anyway.

Here's the team I would have. I'm sure alot of these guys are no chance to be selected.

1. Jarryd Hayne
2. Michael Gordon
3. Mark Gasnier
4. Jamal Idris
5. Akuila Uate
6. Jamie Soward
7. Peter Wallace
8. Kade Snowden
9. Michael Ennis
10. Aiden Tolman
11. Nathan Hindmarsh
12. Ben Creagh
13. Shaun Fensom

14. Luke Lewis
15. Tim Mannah
16. Tom Learoyd - Lahrs
17. Chris Heighington

Uate hasn't played a game of centre in his life, so why do people pick him there? Players are under enough pressure as it is in Origin. We don't need players playing out of position, especially players that are on debut!!!

Edit: Sorry Spanner just read over it again lol. I still see from time to time a few people pick Uate at centre though.

LOL! I'm sure Idris would be a cracking halfback while Gasnier and Champion would be great props. Our backrow is very skillful. :p

Hah: for a second I thought you had dropped Greg Bird and brought in Hindmarsh, Creagh, Fensom and Wallace. Oh wait you did.

Now I just think Gaba has learnt to use punctuation.

1. Jarryd Hayne (Dugan has had an injury-plagued season)
2. Michael Gordon
3. Jamal Idris
4. Josh Morris
5. Akuila Uate (more dynamic than Brett Morris)
6. Jarrod Mullen (Carney is out of contention)
7. Mitchell Pearce
8. Aiden Tolman (Weyman has had an injury-plagued season)
9. Michael Ennis
10. Tim Mannah
11. Anthony Watmough
12. Chris Heighington (great worker, big ticker)
13. Luke Lewis

14. Greg Bird (better utility and player than Gidley)
15. Paul Gallen
16. Keith Galloway
17. Kade Snowden

reserve backs: Josh Dugan (fullback), Brett Morris (wing), Mark Gasnier (centre), Blake Ferguson (utility back)
reserve halves/hookers: Jamie Soward (half), Robbie Farah (hooker), Kurt Gidley (utility)
reserve forwards: Luke Douglas (prop), Tim Grant (prop), Ben Creagh (backrow), Mark Minichiello (backrow), Dean Young (utility)

Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, Michael Weyman, Michael Jennings and others simply don't warrant selection on current form IMO.

I don't know about a squad of 30 but I have a few players that I think should be definites.

Tolman
Gallen
Bird
M Gordon

These players should be definites and they should build the team around them.

I've often felt with sowards short distance speed, hooker would be good for him, they did it with geoff toovey and we were successful. I like the way you think.

Unfortunately Forans a Kiwi!

Toovey was a tough nut though, Soward could not defend in the hooking role all game

Seriously, we want to win.

So no Ferguson this year please, until that boy learns it is a team game, and running into touch on the first tackle is a no no, no thanks.

Perhaps next year if he learns it is a team game.

Unfortunately Gidley is a given and it will probably the Hooker position knowing Sticky. Hope the captaincy does not go with that.

Would like to see Gallen grab that and either the 13 or the 11 jersey. I think Hayne should be on the team but rotated and given a break so he bring explosive attack in segments of the game and will give him time to cool-off and pull away from the heat for a bit. Wear QLD out then bring him in with another interchange for a burst in attack (Farah maybe).
