Ricky Stuart would be close, imo.

I dont think so. I feel he came to the eels and had a horroble side. He knew sandow was garbage. He put a line through all the duds SK tried to band aid our problems with.
He signed Peats and Norman who played a big role in getting us out of the mud. And down in Canberra he has done ok. He plays a very attractive style. He just doesnt have the halves to make Canberra elite.

I don't disagree with too much that the hipster gin sipper has written though I'd probably have the Eels and the Sharks higher and the Dragons and Panthers a bit lower. I'd also have the Cowboys on top given what they achieved last year without the best No. 7 in the game.

A few other slight alterations in the bottom half of the table as well.

1. Cowboys
2. Storm
3. Roosters
4. Eels
5. Sharks
6. Panthers
7. Saints
8. Broncos
9. Bulldogs
10. Raiders
11. Souths
12. Tigers
13. Manly
14. Titans
15. Knights
16. Warriors

Amd from 1-16 none will be easy.

The only team i find it hard to say nice things about in terms of potentially improving is the Warriors

I reckon
Broncos might slip a bit
Saints will be in the mix
Sharks wont go bad but are getting older
Manly overachieved and will slip a bit
Souths will improve a little

Here are my power groupings ... teams grouped together are similar, and in no particular order:

Cowboys, Storm, Roosters
Eels, Panthers
Saints, Sharks, Raiders
Dogs, Broncos, Souths
Manly, Newcastle, Tigers, Titans
Warriors

Having said that, there may be a few off season movements that might change a few teams

Yet still managed to make the finals this year. Id imagine all these young guys will get even better in 2018 and all coaches learn. I doubt any coach is a complete dud.
I even reckon BA has learnt and is still learning.

They made the Finals, yes, but pretty much got there because other teams fell over in front of them.
They can play better than they did this year, no doubt...but to have them in third place above a team you yourself said "I can't see any weaknesses there" (Roosters) just makes it seem like you're taking the piss.
Other than that I'd probably say the list wouldn't be too far off. Maybe Sharks would be higher, Dragons lower.

I just don't think he's a good long-term coach.

His intense style works for a season or two, and then players seem to regress - Leilua is a good example.

He did some good things for us, but I'm glad he's gone.

Sharks with lewis, gallen old. Bird gone.
Maloney and Townsend arent an elite combo. Beale left. There cooked id say.
Roosters should be great but there is a chance guys get upset with big arrivals. And sure things are never sure things. Will mss guys for origins and huge pressure on this team.

On panthers they had 7 games decided by less then a try and only won 2 of those.
2/7

We had 6 and won 5 of them. 5/6

I feel with games decided by less than 6 points a game either team could of won and almost a coin toss.
We also lose Semi who may of been the factor in getting us over line in the close ones.
Cartwright missed 12 games and Moylan 8 and Mansour 12. These are 3 of their best. And there is a lot more younger players on the way up in that team.

We have Moses,Gutherson,Tepai and Bevan who are all on way up. The rest are about as good as will get.

Anyhows this is pre season. I reckon Eels will make a few cheekie signings and propell them up ladder of power rankings.

It is going to be a tough competition.

I reckon he is smsrter and has better tactics then BA. But guys love and respect BA. And you can always bring in an attacking coach.

Issues surrounding Pearce cost The Chooks big time in 2016. Wouldnt surprise if this Cronk V Pearce scenario caused similar issues.
Foran will be rubbish. The odd good game but poor value. Dean Pay dosent impress me at all. Dogs to fail.
The rest of your comments, Gus111, I kind of agree with.
Good effort.

Already crisis talk with Pearce. Love it. Hindy111 does it again.
