Panthers to get the spoon... (I’ve said we’ll win the comp for years now, and we haven’t... so... reverse psychology for the win!)

I don't really get why Maloney's defence gets so heavily scrutinised. Lockyer was no good defending in the front line but nobody ever bagged him for it.
The same can be said for JT, both of them were speed humps. I think the answer should be a tad clearer by now.

Enjoyed the bitter tears from Hodges and Mr Respect Parker in the foxsports "experts" top 8 tips. Both had Broncos winning the comp and Dragons in 8th, lol

Wouldn't be surprising ,don't think they can win it though. Not much experience in forwards and the halves are questionable.

Maloney defensive style is actually built around being a speed bump. He gets up off the line fast and hits hard, he doesn't 'stick' and wrap up the tackle, but he disrupts the attacking structure and slows down the ball carrier/stops their momentum so the 2nd row/centre can come in and wrap up the tackle. The main issue is that if the 2nd row/centre aren't immediately available to support, it doesn't work and he's just made to look a poor defender.

If he makes first contact and rarely completes a tackle I think it’s fair to say he’s a poor defender. In the same group as Lockyer & JT.

Did they spend most of their time talking about the Broncos much vaunted young forward pack yet fail to mention the spine of Boyd, Milford, Nikorima and McCullough?
McCullough if his service was quicker, and Milford if his role was simplified by an organising halfback are both perfectly fine, but it's the midget and the old grey mare out the back that rule them out of being top four in my opinion.

It is Souths time to rise again. We look like the form team of the preseason. We have the buy of the year. Top 4 and premiership contention.

Panthers and Sharks to be spoon contenders.
Form team of the preseason. That’ll do me.

Form team of the off-season too, until Penrith beat ‘em to the line in a late charge.

You would want to hope the Panthers dramas settle down soon otherwise they will be another team hovering around the bottom of the 8.

Cameron Smith to get booed by the crowd at the first game where he speaks at any presentation that is not a Storm home game.
