What gets me is that NRL are heavy handed on the EELS, but when it come to salary cap breaches from the Broncos last year the NRL did nothing cause Andrew Gee was no longer an employee of the club.

That said though. I don't think it was tough enough. By stripping them 12 points they basically said we're taking away what you've earned. What if they were doing worse this year and were only on 8 points, would they have only been stripped the 8?

They should have at least been stripped the number of points held by the team coming first, leaving them at -2.

If they didn't have to discard players I'd say they'd make it back into the 8, losing players though, now I'm not so sure?

Always had a soft spot for parra, but it's obviously amateur hour over there. One thing is certain though and that's TPAs and governance around them are a joke. I fully expect the NRL to do nothing and the better administered clubs to continue not getting caught.
