What's very clear to me is that the Warriors want upgrades in their forwards and backs.

Fans are confusing the fact that backs are the players being reported to somehow mean the Warriors aren't after forwards also.

They have gutted their NSW cup forwards. They have tried to dump Mateo. They made Nathan Friend wait till the eleventh hour to give him a contract.

They admitted they would love Isaac Luke, we made an offer to Sam Moa and Sam Kassiano.

The fact that Ryan Hoffman and Allwood are the only players to have said yes has no bearing on the chase for a Hooker and Props.

You have to remember that Jim Doyle drafted the amendments to the Salary cap and has access to any players contract in the NRL he chooses ( by virtue of being kept on at NRL HQ in an advisory role to the cap Auditor.

No matter how many times I post that people post " I'd prefer we went after some Props or Hookers"

How about taking time out to look at the reality that we are chasing Props and Hookers and that we have a Ceo that can make TPA's work in our favor better than anyone else in the NRL and put two and tow together people....no prop or hooker has agreed to come, and one last time that has nothing to do with the offers to Matai / Hoffman / Oneal

What a cry baby. Imagine if he was subjected to Bunniesman like ridicule?

:lol::lol:
To sum up his rumours

We were interested getting Watmough and shipping Mateo across the other way
Getting Matai, as long as Nielson goes
Interested in FPN, JWH and RTS at the end of next year
We are meant to be getting Hoffman
An unnamed Australian RU player

So, umm, does the Warriors supporter pack not come with a cap at all?

... you forgot a couple of ESL players

Not to mention Manu to forwards, Bukuya and Rapira axed and both Lillyman and Mannering are average players.

Pretty much zero of that happened, not exactly the king of scoop.
I hope he doesn't chicken out though, fun character to have around!

The scattergun approach means eventually you are going to get one right... in fact, if he's posting the same stuff in the Parramatta forum, he's probably doing ok

To be fair their appears to be some legs to the Hoffman rumour, and we'd have rocks in our heads not to sound out JWH and RTS so I'm not discounting that one even if nothing comes of it. FPN I'm meh on, but we did try to get him last time he was off contract.

Yeah, but so... success is signing players, and that is on the club, and at the end of the day I don't care if players are reluctant to come here, that's on the club too.

They'd be foolish not to be negotiating with quality players that are available... securing Hoffman (Ryan)was good, but we need more, and I really hope they are pushing hard on some middle forwards - the 4 teams left in the premiership all have quality in that area (and others of course) - but those are some serious packs

...Not to mention Manu to forwards,

I know it's not you saying Manu needs to be in the forwards, but he's not going anywhere while he often tops our try scoring list, does it from the wing, and is worth his weight in gold from the publicity he gives our club by being this huge winger.

I think, pound for pound as they say, he's the best winger in the NRL (combine workrate and tryscoring for starters). Also, he's one of the fastest wingers over 80-90 yards. Not from a standing start, but once he gets going.

He left Josh Mansour, who had a head start, for dead during that last try at Penrith.

Dead right.

Manu is quite deceptive with his pace, he has ridiculously long strides and although he isn't quick off the blocks once he gets galloping he makes the best of them look slow. He doesn't look like he's running that fast but bang he's gone and its goodnight.

If he didn't keep coming off his wing on defence I'd rate him as close to the best in the NRL, mind you that does depend on his inside centre as well keeping him organised.

I'm still waiting for the gun ESL fullback signing rumour to come true! :)

Yeah, I heard that rumour too

Certainly he is one of the few Warriors (along with Lillyman and Mannering) who can legitimately say he's among the best in the NRL in his position...

His try scoring rate is insane, and it would be insane to move him to the forwards imo... he has his limitations, but the upside outweighs those easily...

I don't give a stuff about the publicity and jersey sales, but he's easily the best wing at the club, and overall one of the top 4-5 in the NRL... prop my arse
