On Hollywood and Zorba this morning. They posed a question. Who out of these players would you rather have.

A) A player with a shit attitude, a good athelete but a huge mouth

B) A player with massive talent, quiet and unassuming and just gets on with the job.

Personally Preston by the length he'll outrun Mundine over 100m

That is hardly a question is it?

Preston without even considering the other option.

Completely different players.

A stupid question, only posed to attempt to generate some buzz about a radio program that has no credibility...

When both players are in top form, Anthony Mundine easily.
But yeah... he hasn't played in 5 odd years, and they are very different players.

For all this talk of "dis-harmony" etc, it was Mundine who pretty-much carried his team to Grand Finals in 1996 & 1999.

But like I said, they're two completely different players & it's a dumb question...

So mundine is only a "good athlete" yet Campbell has "massive talent".

Get your hand off it mate.

The show posed the question, I brought it here with my opinion of both players. So you get your hand off it boy.

Yeh, sorry mate I realised that after I posted and meant to edit it. But they need to get their hands off it. I'd prefer Campbell, but I think Mundine is more talented. He can do stuff on a footy field very, very few else can do.

On potential Mundine but I'd rather have Preston, lets not forget the guy outplayed Johns in 2001 when Johns was at the peak of his powers. Campbell has achieved alot more than Choc, he's won the Dally M, and won a legitimate premiership, Mundine has neither. Campbell could probably be alot more dominant but he doesn't try to be, he goes about his job, he knows he's not the only player on the team which is more than I can say about Mundine.

Both have major Defensive problems, both are attacking geniuses.
Mundine could have been so much better had he matured, but ill say Presto is a bit better.

Enough Mundine bashing.. When he played he did carry St Geoge and was the games HIGHEST PAID PLAYER !!!! You don't get that kind of money being nothing. He also outplayed Fittler every time the 2 clashed and played SOO for NSW.

He has a bad attitude ?? He is around the top of an INDIVIDUAL SPORT. Anyone that can suddenly take up boxing and win a world championship needs an elite attitude and focus to achieve something like that.

Just give the guy a fair go.. so much bias !

Around the top of an individual sport? Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves, he's in the weakest division in boxing, has fought no one of note till this date, won a vacant mickey mouse belt and lost it again to a guy who was one fight away from retirement.
He was the highest paid player but that just makes him overpaid, he did not outplay Fittler everytime and he did not carry St George, lets remember that forwards win matches, he also had Trent Barrett alongside him who won the dally M the year after Mundine left, he had Blacklock on one flank, he had guys like Fitzgibbon on the bench, so it wasn't a bad team. I think his attitude isn't neccessarily bad its just single minded.

Both very good players.
Mundine was maybe a touch better player overall but there are other factors involved with Mundine these days.
ie. he'd have to put a bit of weight back on and he is an instant disruption to a footy side.
He doesn't even have to open his mouth and someone will print absolute garbage about him.

Because of this I'd go for Preston.

Agreed, all those people who want to talk up his "success" in boxing needs to be reminded that he went after the weakest champion in the weakest division, Sven Ottke, and got KNOCK OUT COLD.

He then went on to fight for the SECONDAY WBA title, the same division that Ottke was the champion in. Ever heard the saying that you have to beat the man to be the man? He never beat the man.

Now after winning the seconday title in a very ordinary performance by both fighters he goes on to meet Manny Pacquaio (sp?) and lost on a decision. Manny then goes on to get smashed easily inside the distance by Kessler and then instead of going for a re-match with Kessler he goes after Mundane again. This was because he knew he didnt have what it takes to beat Kessler and neither does Mundane. So what is Mundane doing now? Preparing for his loss against Kessler by saying that he is doing exactly what he "sung" that he would NEVER DO in that song with the beat box kid. Ain't no way Im going back to league blah, blah, blah.

He doesnt consider fighting Green even though most of Australia would say this would be the fight they would like to see the most.

Mundane is a tool of the highest order so comparing him with a bloke like Preston is insulting to Preston. Hollywood and Zorba should be forced to contact Preston and apologise.

Manny Pacquaio is a decent fighter in another dvision, a legit world champ, Mundine lost to a journeyman in Manny Siaca
