Priddis wants to come to Cronulla

Just read this article in todays telegraph and wanted to get your oppinion on the topic

Luke After a New Deal
Cronulla say they have been approached by Penrith's Luke Priddis but have turned down the chance of signing him. the Ex-Australia hooker has a get out clause and is upset the panthers have declined to extend his contract.
"i had a chat with stuey about him" Sharks CEO Greg Pierce said. "We have young Kevin Kingston, Tevita Latu and Tony caine who are pretty promising. we couldn't justify having that much of the salary cap tied up in one position like that."

Have the board (finally) realised we need a fullback, centre (or two), and possibly a winger?...

The reason is Luke Priddis does'nt only want top dollar but he also wants extra bonuses in his contract e.g paying for his kid's school fees at Top Private schools. Its not like the bloke is scraping it in! What a friggen tight ar$e!!!

we need caine to re-sign now, or allow him to be signed before June 30 and then we can either sign or not sign Priddis depending on what Caine does

He wants a two year deal,Penrith want a one year deal.

He's a great player, but would be an awful signing. Kingston/Latu are both playing awesome football and are still early on in their careers and are on much less money than Priddis would be asking.

I'm hoping that somehow we get Caine to stay...but I can't see it happening if there's a better oppurtunity elsewhere.

Hooker is probably the only position we don't need to be too worried about.......well, possibly Second Row as well.
