And another one they were asked

#7) If you had an infinite supply of water and a 5L and 3L pail, how would you measure exactly 4L?

Fill the 5L one up to the top, then tip it into the 3L bucket, after doing that empty the 3L bucket and fill it with the 2 L which is left in the 5L bucket then fill up again the 5L bucket to the top. Then fill up the 3L bucket to the top which has only room for one more litre meaning the 5L will be left with 4L unless youre stupid and spill it.
