Amateur hour.
Cheap and nasty.

Very disappointed in Doyle; I can't see him fixing any problems while he denies the problem exists. Cappy may have his confidence but most Warrior fans no longer have.

And every time somebody starts a sentence " To be honest" I know they are being evasive.

You can tell something is really rotten in Denmark with this club, guys like Hoff and Cappy are just bursting to let off some steam but are probably being restrained by higher powers. Mannering is normally unflappable and even he was giving guys a serve during the Melbourne farce.

You hear the crumbs, the naughty six, Tomkins having his dig about professionalism, Mutts and his "sinking ship", Isaac Luke & Michael Luck having coach spats, Manu losing it.

It's just a matter of time before it all spills out, they can't mop up forever with lame PR exercises.

I wonder whats actually going on.

Both those guys (McFadden and Hoffman) won't speak. One at least will be let go with a silence clause (as in most cases). And both are actually very decent men. So yeah, they'll be restrained to a point as you say and their integrity will stop tales being told.

So did anyone see the McFadden questions? Rich? Doyle's were a waste of time, and why I expected any different is beyond me.

Wow, what a load of tutae.

The messiah doesn't look like he's going to be able to do anything to reverse the fortunes of the Warriors.

For all the waffle and defensive posturing....they sacked Hurrell.

Actions not words.

There is hope that the messiah will turn Kava into JD's

The players and the staff are only 50% of the problem. I always have been outspoken that the true accountability and stability at the club lays with the owner. Doyle was a PR exercise if himself being bought to the Warriors. Still gets paid by the owner and falls inline with his employer.

The whole Owen Glenn media fallout was utterly disgraceful and the lack of management to fix it exposed just how actively smart the Warriors ownership is.

Also being the last club in the NRL to have any u20's and reserve grade profile pics up showed the lack of care. This was at least the 5th year in a row I notice they had done this.

I think for this club to finally improve, ownership will need to change or hire a successful venture firm to manage all its integral assets.

We need to start winning on the field
Corperate, membership, sponsers etc are going well

I think we're all pretty much resigned to the fact McFadden isn't going anywhere. And does it really matter, if we're out of the playoff picture? Not for mine. The focus should/will be on getting the best guy for November, leading into 2017.

Anyone quietly/nervously excited that we MIGHT get a decent coach next year? Don't want to jinx but that's how I'm feeling, nervously optimistic that we could have someone in charge who has a clue.

I actually think 'player power' gets blown out of proportion (in many organisations). You need strong minded players in your team, and if your coach isn't up to the job those types of guys aren't just going to roll over and take it as it's directly effecting their livelihood.

Who is Doyle weeding out? Konnie? Konnie has no power, he's always been a sideshow. Manu? Manu spent his career bleeding for the Warriors, Doyle should have had him on top of the list of players to consult about issues with the club. Mutts in the firing line next? FFS the guy's been the top performing Warrior for going on 8 years and Cappy messed with him early in the season.

With Kearny (and his stubborness) and Crappy, Doyle is actually carving out a career of backing coaches who have issues with players which has a detrimental effect on the results for that team. If he ever moves across to rugby he'll probably appoint Hammett as coach of the team he's in charge of.

The Warriors are just a mess, they brought in a messiah and two gun players and all three of them haven't lived up to their reputation.

Injured fullback Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has revealed the Warriors held a players-only crisis meeting to address the team's disastrous form and reaffirm their commitment to besieged coach Andrew McFadden.
Warriors captain Ryan Hoffman and other senior players gathered the entire first grade squad together behind closed doors at Mt Smart Stadium on Wednesday, for an urgent and honest clear-the-air conference.
The players spoke openly to discuss and take responsibility for the side's poor start to the NRL season while reinforcing their collective commitment and support of McFadden.
"The whole team had a good discussion yesterday and we feel like Cappy (McFadden) and (managing director) Jim (Doyle) have been giving us great treatment," said Tuivasa-Sheck.
"We have a leadership group with Ryan Hoffman, Jacob Lillyman, Shaun Johnson and Simon Mannering, and those guys got together and thought it would be a good idea to speak with all of us.

"We back Cappy and the players we have to go well. It's the players ourselves, we just need to pick up (our performances). That's the only way we can succeed, if everyone buys into what we're trying to do here. We all believe if we do that we can go well."
Tipped by many to be a top-four contender, the Warriors' season is on life-support with four wins from 11 matches leaving them slumped down in 14th spot on the premiership ladder.
Tuivasa-Sheck has been forced to watch from the sidelines as he continues his recovery from the season-ending ACL injury suffered in the Warriors' round seven win over the Canterbury Bulldogs in mid-April.
The 22-year-old Kiwis international said the meeting allowed every player to have their voice heard, with senior members of the side encouraging the younger rookies to speak freely.

The point was made that if each player can lift their individual effort it will help ease the pressure on the likes of star halfback Shaun Johnson and the side's other key playmakers.
"It just allowed everyone to speak up and I feel like we need to fix our own problems," he said. "Everyone needs to contribute a bit more. If everyone owns up and doesn't wait for our stars to shine (it will help the team)."
Despite his own misfortune and the Warriors' current predicament, the former Sydney Roosters premiership winner insists he has no regrets about moving back to Auckland.
The high level of interest in the Warriors surprised him initially and he has been shocked by the intensity of some of the criticism directed at the club and individuals like Manu Vatuvei.
"There's so much media attention and so many people that are really passionate about the team. I look at it as they love us too much, that's why (fans attack players on social media).
"The boys want to play well to hopefully get the media off their backs so the pressure doesn't get to them, so they don't lack confidence, and they can just get back to playing."
On a personal note, Tuivasa-Sheck hopes to be back running within the next three months and rates himself an outside chance of being fit to play for the Kiwis at the Four Nations in November.
"As much as I really want to play the Four Nations and I'll actually be ready by that time, it's something I've got to go through with the physio and doctors and that call is with them.
"I'm just focusing on trying to get right because I've been getting a lot of advice about not rushing back. But in my head (I'm thinking) I might play the Four Nations so I need to get right for that, even though I know I'm not playing. So it's like a motivation thing for me."

Good signs? Surprised that Johnson is one of the 4 leaders tbh - and in reality he's been perhaps the worst offender and is in the team on potential only

How honestl can one be in a team room setting?
I would have thought individual meetings, then discuss issues as a group?

Dunno, without coaches etc I imagine they could be frank - certainly Hoffman, Lillyman and Mannering while not being huge talkers (the last two especially) are no bullshit guys with on field pedigree that demands respect

Good to see, but it has to result in more than just a burst of good form, I think we had something similar after that epic Penrith hiding.

I don't mind Johnson being part of the leadership group anymore, he's not a rookie and he's supposed to be running things out on the park.
