Pick Billy Slater.
There's no player greater

Drop Darius Boyd,
He gets me annoyed.

Pick Valentine Holmes,
He has speed when he roams

Move Dane Gagai,
He sees through one eye.

Retain Corey Oates,
He has power and floats.

If i were picking the team for QLD, id go with something like this:

1. Boyd
2. Oates
3. Chambers
4. Slater (Probably stick solid with Gagai?)
5. Holmes
6. Thurston
7. Cronk
8. Napa
9. Smith
10. McGuire
11. Papalii/Hess
12. Gillett
13. Hess/Papalii (pending on who you think would better handle the middle third)

14. Morgan
15. Thiaday
16. Wallace
17. Kaufusi

Gagai should be the first player picked in their bacline ....tried his guts out last night

Doesn't matter who QLD put at centre, when Hayne feels like destroying people he will and nobody will stop him.

Dylan Walker carved him up a few weeks ago but only cos Hayne didn't give a f**k that day,Hayne would have decapitated that midget if he actually tried that day.

I can't believe they picked Guerra, Lillyman and Myles. Stupid, stupid, stupid. They could have carried Lillyman if they really had to.

I can't believe Val Holmes didn't get a start in their backline or that Boyd could be rated anywhere near Slater as a fullback.

But, after years of chanting about themselves, to themselves and everyone in the media, it has become a state catch cry to "pick and stick' and 'stay loyal' and one that can't just be about faced overnight - or so we have all been brainwashed into believing.

Surely QLD can't now trash everything they have declared sacred, every value that they instilled into the phyche and identity of their organisation and back flip mid Origin series can they???? Can they back flip as well as Big Mal did the day he went into politics???

They seriously need to look at the forwards. Loyalty in the pack will end QLD this year. Also Slater has to come back.

My Qld team for game 2:

In: Slater to fullback. Holmes on the wing for x factor. Thurston to 5/8. Wallace into front row, he has earned ir on back of good club form this year. Gav Cooper into 2nd row to shore up the edge defence. Hess and Korbin Sims to bench to add size and aggression. 4 debutants bit all in Emerging camps last couple years.

Move: Boyd to centre to accommodate Billy. Papalii to bench.

Gone: Myles, Chambers, O'Neill, Milford, Guerra, Lillyman. Of those names only Milford should feel harshly done by, he was solid in defence and had a couple of nice runs that kept the Blues guessing.

Slater,
Oates,
Boyd,
Gagai,
Holmes,
Thurston,
Cronk,
Wallace,
Smith,
Napa,
Cooper,
Gillett,
McGuire,
Morgan,
Papalii,
Hess,
Sims.

They will have the old spine back for sure......Slater, Thurston Cronk and Smith......I think JT wil play ......he wasnt risked in game 1 because I think Qld thought they could win in Brisbane without him......then again his shoulder maybe worse than people think......they wont make to many changes, their big on pride and live for the fact that they stick with players ...its a Qld thing

Would keep Milf at 18th man for now if Cronk or Thurston get injured then give him a run. QLD should be looking to blood players in for the future. Milf and Hunt are the future QLD halves as far as I'm concerned. See how Hunt goes next year.

Somehow need Boyd, Slater and Holmes in that squad for game 2.

100% on myles, lillyman
Lol milf & hunt
ATM Ashley Taylor is a far better half
More creative
Better kicking game
He is QLDs future
