Unfortunately they won't make too many changes. O'Neil gone for Gagai. They need slater but they won't drop Boyd. Holmes deserves to be there but Boyd or Slater would get first nod.

Milford over Morgan if jt is back.

Hess and Wallace for Myles and Lilly.

I'd be very tempted to keep Milford as the utility and drop Morgan as well. Morgan has been awful this season.

Eff you DT for giving the Morons inspiration to lift in Game 2.

If a piss-take back page headline is what the Maroons are relying on for inspiration heading into Game 2, I'm even more confident of wrapping up the series in 3 weeks than I was before.

Going by that logic, the CM have given NSW PLENTY of inspiration to lift over the last decade...and how did that play out?

Would keep Milf at 18th man for now if Cronk or Thurston get injured then give him a run. QLD should be looking to blood players in for the future. Milf and Hunt are the future QLD halves as far as I'm concerned. See how Hunt goes next year.

Somehow need Boyd, Slater and Holmes in that squad for game 2.

100% on myles, lillyman

Milf has to be 18th man and has to be in camp the whole way so that old prick Wayne can throw his toys out of the pram again. That is fun to watch.

Munster is small and qld are size queens.

He went missing in the gf so id be glad if they picked him

Moga might be too far but i rate him

He's getting better but is slow, especially laterally. I could see Hayne running around him easily. Ferguson showed him up twice quite easily when the Broncos played the Roosters earlier in the year.

Fair enough. It will probably be Gagai or Boyd then, maybe Munster.

I think the problem if Slater comes in is that Boyd has probably surpassed playing on the wing.

Yeah it'll be a bit of a lottery. It'd be good to see those in the frame stand up in their upcoming club games.

Cooper only plays if Thurston plays. He's good at running lines JT is familiar with.

Outside that he's a mule and a passenger playing outside anyone else

Only to accommodate Boyd, Slater, Gagai and Holmes who all demand selection in the backline, and Oates handled himself very well in game 1.

switch Chambers to the right where he plays for Melbourne. Cronk is a right side half so there's a combo QLD can use straight away. gagai should stay on the right wing because that's where he's been killing for QLD. why change something that's been working for them? unfortunately, one of Holmes or Oates will miss out.

but the back line is irrelevant unless they fix up the mess in the forwards. even Gillett had a shocker. when your best forward (albeit an edge forward) is dropping off tackles, you're going nowhere.

FB: Slater
RW: Gagai
RC: Chambers
LC: Boyd
LW: Oates / Holmes
RH: Cronk
LH: Thurston / Milford
AH: Smith
RF: Gillett
LF: Cooper (if Thurston plays for the NQ left side combo)
MF: McGuire
PF: Napa
PF: Wallace
IC: Milford (due to Thurston's injury concerns, otherwise) / Morgan
IC: Papallii
IC: Thaiday / Hess
IC: Lawrence / Kaufusi (Felise / Antonio), some merkin

I dunno. maybe start Holmes on LW and put Oates on the bench and give him a 10-15' spell in the middle either side of HT. It's that f**kin dire for them!

Flip Slater and Boyd around during the game at certain intervals to confuse NSW.

13. Mcguire

14. Milford (Morgan needs to go back to club land and sort his shit out
15. Thaiday
16. Hess (I'd like to see him wait a year or 2 before getting picked but he's a big body and about as good as it gets for us in all honesty.
17. ?

The last bench spot I have real trouble picking another forward that is in some kind of form.

And those picking Mcguire as a starting front rower, he has lost about 7-9kgs from memory because he is playing at lock and for way longer minutes for Brisbane, he isn't big enough to handle the rigours of playing prop in an origin at the moment.
