What's this dill's IQ? Get some more tatts and get a 9 to 5 job, Quade.
Everything he is saying is true though.
Deans is a disgrace.
Yes he's a 'good' coach, but he's not great. He was in charge of one of the best provincial rugby teams in history when at the Crusaders; virtually a test team! Coaching at test level isn't about having higher calibre athletes - they are all as fit and strong as each other. Yes there are some who have special qualities but every country has a few of them...it's about getting your team to play together, trusting each other and the coach. It's obvious that they don't have faith in Robbie's game plans and selections. The majority of the public don't either. Give McKenzie a go. He's earned the opportunity and he let's face it - he can't do any worse. Now is the perfect time to start afresh.Deans is a good coach. He's just used to working with a higher calibre of professional athlete. Australia hasn't produced a decent Rugby team for about a decade.

The point i'm trying to make is that it is both the coach AND the team. Problem being that no one has faith in the coach. He's had enough time to close the gap between the AB's and ourselves...if anything that gap has widened. He was hailed as a supercoach and has proven he isn't. I don't think McKenzie is either but I honestly believe he is better than Deans. Regarding the players - sure they have issues, but we're playing with a 2nd and 3rd string side at the moment. Without Sharpe we would be in alot bigger shambles than we currently are. Let's wait for Horwill, Genia, Pocock, Moore, O'Connor and a few others to get fit and we'll see how we go. The playing group need a good leadership group. We simply don't have one at the moment. On top of that, they need to believe in and trust the caches game plan and tactics. They don't. It's a mess and both coach and players need to acknowledge this.Your entire post contradicts itself.
Its not the coach, its the team.
Id say this crop of wobblies are about as good as they are going to get...
he built a pretty awesome super franchise...He's incapable of building a team.
So you're happy with Deans and want him to stay?Considering you could put together a rather good test team out of the injured players, I think Deans has done okay this year. Beaten the 6N champs 3 - 0. Beaten Argentina home and away and South Africa at home. A par year.
