They have been penalising contact with the head for years regardless of whether the player slips. You know that they will get the 50/50s down there and we were in the game despite that. We needed to not give them free points, which Ma'u essentially did by blatantly taking out Slater, and Brown cost us the final say with an unnecessary piece of play when they were just looking to drop, create a surrender and have an excuse to waste time.

Dumb footy cost us that game. Individual moments in big games can be crucial and unfortunately they were tonight.

A blatant forward pass cost us the game. You can't argue it.

The good news is that we were right there and if we meet them again we know we can match them!

I would argue every team plays a bit of dumb footy, some get punished more than others for it. But you can bet your arse BA will be focusing on us and not the refs, at least in public.

I can hack their first try being let go ... sure a ref can miss that and for some reason the video ref cant call a forward pass but he can rule a knock on - go figure???

BUT i cannot hack the incredibly blantant offside for their first try after halftime ... cronk grabs the ball - glasby takes it off him from infront of him ... how can that be missed? ... it is so blatant

I'm not unbiased. I just hate losing because WE f**ked up and I hate the cliche, "refs cheated" cop out.

The refs were the same as they are every fking week. They were shit....they didn't cost us the game.
