Will Hala even get on the field in this game? I don't what Carlaw has to do to get a run, he at least would had some experience to a side full of young blokes.

The loss of Thaiday and Hoffman has indeed evened up the game, but if Te'o plays at his best, he can emulate Thaiday.

Beale was very good at the start of the year, albeit not as good as Hoffman, but still not that great a loss, and I honestly believe we don't lose much either with Copley on the wing as compared to Beale.

Ironically, I think the left wing is where we could win the game, especially since Berro looks to be playing on Hodgo's side, and the Warriors will have Tupou/Moon facing Copley/Reed.
Of course, it would help if we get the butterfingers Manu of old, especially given Hodges and Yow Yeh will be waiting to pounce, and we all know they can!

Utmost vigilance is required for Locke and Johnson's speed and evasiveness, as well as a James Maloney that just keeps getting better, and of course, the Mateo offloads.

I hope the Locky factor, sold out Suncorp and our defense wins the game in what should be a close low scoring battle.

The Warriors are a very good team, that will only get better as their youth comes of age. I see them winning a premiership sooner than later, but just not yet. Locky deserves to go out holding the premiership's trophee!

Really looking forward to this game.
The last was a cracker, this should be as well.

Good luck for the rest of the season and hope to meet you in the final.

It's going to be a cracker of a game. I am so nervous though.

No lead is safe against the Warriors. I worry about us having the firepower minus Hoffman and Thaiday though. Then again, two years ago our only attacking weapons were Folau + Hoffman (gone), Gillett and Te'o. So hopefully those last two can step up again.

Copley vs Tupou should be interesting lol. Seems like both groups of supporters didn't want these players in the team, might come down to which on eof the two plays the worst. Vatuvei vs Yow Yeh should be another good match up, Vatuvei can be slow at turning so I expect a couple grubbers in and behind from Lockyer as for Yow Yeh he sometimes drops back a little too deep in their 20 so I'd be sending big Manu straight at him. Can't wait.

I maintain that we continue to bomb for Reed. He seems to always out-jump his opponents.

Where did Reed's around-the-corner ball go? It seems to have disappeared. Did Griffin put the shackles on it?

I'm sure it is still there but we haven't been playing the kind of football where he can use it. Reed is only getting the ball out of dummy half or through bombs at the moment...

With Beale into fullback, watch for the classic full back into the backline and a couple of decoy 2nd row runners to spread it to the left wing... He runs that play very well.

i like copley on our wing, i admit he has the odd shaky moment but he has good acceleration and speed, pretty stocky, always going forward and hits the ball flat and backs himself to go for the corner. i prefer him on the wing then beale. beale is a good fullback in attack though, but hoffman is there. hoffman is probably 2nd best defensive fullback behind billy and hes good in attack too. beale is going to need to adapt, unless hoffman continues being injury prone. touch wood

Thoroughly looking forward to this match, I'm on the Warriors bandwagon after Canterbury got knocked out, and Brissy are a joy to watch (brilliant young teams are rarely boring imo). Warriors by 4 due to Thaiday being out (should have been one week = done over).

Our attack could actually be better without Thaiday in my opinion, he often gets in the way - which leads to Hodges never getting good ball. Also, Beale runs the second man play much better than Hoffman (edit - as said above by IBA, just saw it)

Will lose a bit in defence though. Can't wait.

Im predicting a low scorer. Like a 2 tries each or a 3 tries to 2 sort of game. Goal kicking and or penalties might decide it. Or (heaven forbid) field goals again. Game of the round and flip a coin for the result. One missed tackle on Mateo or Locke might be all between the teams. Warriors by 2!

This. I don't know what it is, but Thaiday has been running in too much. He was far more destructive in 09 when he was running out and attacking the fringes of the ruck.

Too many times this year Lockyer has turned to throw a cut out, or start a backline sweep, and Sam is right there under his nose and in the way. He gets the ball and makes no more metres than a prop taking a regulation hit up. Most opposing defenders can see it coming a mile away.

That is true, but Thaiday has also thrown 2 inside balls to Hoffman for tries, and probably drawn countless more defenders for tries outside him.

I agree he gets in the way sometimes, but it is not all bad!

Gillett may be able to fill the role comfortably, but we'll have to wait and see.

I think we should get this boys easy at home and for lockie. I am expecting 13+. Even with losing Thaiday we still got the firepower and dont lose much at full back beale did the job before. So you brisbane boys get down to the game and cheer the boys home.

Why are all the Warriors fans on here so nice? Every time I got to a Suncorp game with Broncos vs Warriors all the Warriors fans seem really scary and not so nice....

Nah man, your confusing the relationship between "seem really scary" with "not so nice" - They are really scary looking mfers, but soft as marshmallows underneath...
