It was about 7(?) years ago. I definately said "I knew someone" rather than "a friend of mine"...

Certainly wasn't a good perso... Deserved everything he got

2. Alex Glenn
1. Jack Reed

What a difference it makes having Hodges back in the side and Te'o playing in the forwards. Can't fault a single player, Beale was very good too. The way Josh McGuire is playing at the moment he has to be in the top 3 props in the game.

Best performance of the season IMO

Very happy with that win.
Have to say the Warriors were no where near their best but I think we had something to do with that.

IF the Cows go on with this then we have to make the GF for Sam to play again.

I think if we can avoid playing next week we should, one less game = one less injury. I think we showed tonight without Thaiday we're still a force in the forwards.

Pretty hard to split McGuire and Glenn for the 3 IMO. McGuire made massive metres and broke tackles every time, while Glenn put on some good hits, gave 110% effort in every tackle and ran well one the fringe + scored a try. They have both been awesome lately. Glenn has to be a shoe in for the NZ side.
Not quite sure who to give the 1 point too.
It was a great game to watch. Beale had a good game at fullback as expected, Yow Yeh was awesome against the beast, Copley shut most people up IMO, Reed was good, the halves bombing the back 3 was probably the major part of our dominance, Macca continued his form, I can't bag anyone.

I was at the game so I'll wait for the replay for voting.

Beale is a much, much better fullback than winger... The forwards we're all excellent

Great win !

Josh McQuire is a machine. Ran 186 metres (game high) The go forward he provides us is unreal and his long minutes serves us very well.

The bomb Vatuvei plan worked very well. Yow Yeh got to the ball first on most occasions and was dangerous.

Parker and Glenn were both very good, and good to see Parker nail some goals this week.

Macca has really stepped us the latter half of the year and is now providing great service. Really makes a huge difference to our team. The famous macca dummy paid off with a try also which was ggod.

Copley was solid and proved some doubters wrong. Myself included, although I always thought he was a better option over Gagai.

Great game by Beale. Solid in defence and had that great effort when Warriors made that break. Sheparded the player towards the sideline and then made the tackle. Was also very handy coming into the attacking line.

Reed, jeez I love this guy (not in a weird way) plays his heart out every week and comes uo with the big plays. Great under the bomb in attack.

Gillett showed his class and footwork tonight. Pity the chip didnt come off. very close though. Teo also had a solid game and looked heaps better in the forwards rather then the last couple weeks at centre.

We're a finals team.

I didn't know whether or not I could have said that last week when we let Manly get back into the game through some sheer lazy defence but to their credit the boys have stepped up another gear despite the absence of Hoffman and Thaiday.

And do you know what I loved?

Seeing all those whinging NSW d**k riders whinging about us. You know you're doing well when they're complaining about the slightest thing. The highlight for me was their big cry over the Lockyer voluntary tackle. It happens every week and in the context of the game, meant bupkiss. Like when Stagg tackled Slater over the sideline.

Hell I also love seeing renouf and user give positive critiques. You know how well the team is playing when these two straight shooters wrap them.

Actually, if I'm going to don the skeepe persona, I've got to say the refs were equally bad. Couldn't believe that penalty against us for tackling one of their players in their in-goal. It's one of the ten simple rules of Rugby League, play to the whistle and the ref. sure as hell didn't call held.

But I'm sick of the coverage fans give the refs. Let's talk about the real stars tonight. I'm talking our forward pack. Up against the highly talked about Warriors pack and we absolutely matched them. McGuire was a machine, Hannant was good support and our backrow was a fusion of talent, hard work and luck. Hell, even Anderson came good after his knock on inside our half. It wasn't even the worst mistake, Hala can take that award (FYI Dave you're not SBW, you're much better than that merkin - well at least as a person). And I believe both Macca and Hunt deserve a rap, in fact, they may have been the huge difference in the end. I don't remember seeing much from either Heremaia or Hohaia, while Macca and Hunt were always gifting us momentum from dummy half. In fact, I'll go as far to say that was Hunt's best game in first grade. He looked really threatening at times.

And while I was vocal about his future, Jumpin Jack had another stormer of a game, scoring one and setting two others up. If nothing else, he's had a tremendous 2011 and I'll never forget that (just like I never forgot Carlaw scoring THAT try).

Hard coming up with a 3,2,1 but here's my effort...

2. Alex Glenn - Got the party started with a sensational strip and was a constant threat down that left hand side. Was also very good in d.
2. Josh McGuire - Relentless all night in the middle and could he end up being the front row of the finals? Could he join Jharal as a Kangaroo?
1. Corey Parker - Stepped up well in the absence of Thaiday playing one of his better games where he didn't overplay his hand and just ran some tough angled runs right into the heart of the opposition. Handy in defence and his goal kicking was superb. Happy he scored himself a try.
1. Jack Reed - I know I gave Hunt a wrap and Gillett can also feel unlucky but 2 try assists and a try himself deserves a point and he's been one of the finds of the seasons. Greg who?

Bring on Week 2 (or 3...but seriously 2)

McGuire and McCullough were awesome as well and barely missed a point. Jack Reed was great once again even though he didn't get too much ball, he certainly made the most of it. Special mention to Copely who I underestimated and was impressed by the way he ran the ball back hard.

I thought Gillett was outstanding and he needs to be a permanent fixture outwide.

Dominant display from our young blokes. Our best players were McGuire, Glenn, McCullough, Yow Yeh, Gillett and Beale. Truly awesome and I think it may have just clicked....
