to be honest it is getting to that point where Pacific Island nations will have no players to choose from because there players end up playing for QLD/NSW and Australia!! its either we scrap State of Origin or allow SOO players to play for developing nations!

NO, let them play origin, but don't let them play Test footy for Australia if they are born in another country.

Play for the country you were born in.

If that country doesn't have a national team (doesn't have to be a test team), then you can play for Australia.

This is the only way to improve international RL, while improving local game, by allowing international players to play Origin.

They're all Australian. If they choose to play for some other country it doesn't make them not Australian. If anyone is stealing players it's the countries who recruit these Australian heritage players to play for them.

Fiji got into the QF in the 2008 WC Cup..As much as I hate to make the comparison, if Fiji got into a QF for the other codes WC, it would mean a crowd of 60-80,000 wherever they held it..'

Instead it got 15,000 at a 45,000 stadium because the game I love prefers to sell a provincial tournament rather than a WC that will sell the game to the world..
