I don't think they're looking better than the blues, but they're looking good enough to make this a series that could go either way. Blues have much better depth in the halves/fowards, but QLD have better backs depth.

I was thinking about origin the other day after watching Brisbane pick the Roosters apart and then after watching the Cowboys beat Canterbury then the Warriors. If the Origin was on next week you would want to be on QLD and probably 3-0 at the moment. NSW have a lot of injuries to key members of there squad and have others not playing as well as they can. I think this year could be QLD's turn to win it they look as strong as they have for a very long time.

Dont forget that queensland have another 3 players in Jason Smith, Adam Mogg, and Craig Frawley who are all going well this season aswell, improves the depth of queensland even further.

I think it will be very interesting to see who the Qld selectors pick at halfback. On one hand you have Seymour, who is starting to form a lethal partnership with Darren Lockyer who absolutely smashed the Roosters apart last Friday, and on the other half you have Scott Prince, the incumbent, who is also is very good form and helped beat the Premiers last week. Interesting selection dillema, but my money is on Seymour because he's got the partnership with Lockyer working superbly.

Qld look terrifying this year ... NSW will be hard pressed to win a game, let alone the series.

Seymour, becuase as you said he is forming a good partnership with Lockyer! During Origin where you have maybe a week to work out moves, combinations, etc. This can be extremely valuable.

NSW will win.

what makes you say that?! if you scroll up the page a little you will see the 3 NSW sides. Pretty ordinary compared to QUEENSLAND. You watch, that pretty boy Johns won't even make it in the side cos he'll prbably bust his knee again or something. The only good half NSW have is Orford. The forwards aren't as good on the NSW squad. You watch QLD will chop up.

There were 4 NSW sides, and each and every player chosen has the potential to play Origin.
The first 2 QLD sides were good, but the third team was a bit iffy, although a few of the players are capable.
I don't care if Johns makes it or not. I'm pretty sure Berrick Barnes won't either.
The NSW pack is awesome:

8. O'Meley
9. Buderus
10. Bailey
11. Ryan
12. Hindmarsh
13. Fitzgibbon

14. Kennedy
15. Waterhouse/Simpson/Clinton
16. Ryles
17. Wing

maybe so. But the QLD backs will run circles around that pack. Whereas the QLD forwards will smash NSW.
