That is a fantastic side with plenty of points in it which has been the problem over the last few years. With Seymour, Smith, Bowen and the likes of Webb and Berrigan off the bench, Lockyer will have plenty of support. The strength of the side is measured in the fact that the likes of Thurston, Prince, Flannery and Tronc may miss out.

QLD will win this year.

Bowen will be FB. That's because they have three quality centres who are certainties for the team, and i very much doubt they will push either Tonga or Tate onto the wing because they will want atleast one full-time winger (Williams) because Slater will be on the other wing. And as Berrigan is very versatile and can play some hooker, he will fill the bench spot with Tonga/Tate occupying their preferred spots of left and right centre respectively.

You know it makes sense.

And i may be wrong about Smith, with either Stagg/Harrison taking his spot but i just have a feeling that QLD will want someone of his class to take some presure off Lockyer. And as we know, the QLD selectors arent worried about age.

Yeah, we were leading the comp near origin time in 2003, and not one (bar o'hara) got picked/considered, but thats all the better for us, because we can be at full strength around that time when other sides have tired players, it is disappointing for the players that are playing good though

Ain't that the truth. Which makes Kevin Campion and PJ Marsh's appearances for Queensland more special, because generally you get forgotten about from over in Auckland.
