if Witt has some faith shown in him by the coaching staff at Manly and he improves his defence a little, develops his already good running and passing games and improves his effort and presence during the second half of games a notch or too he should do well at halfback and maybe even 5/8

his kicking game will continue to develop and his goalkicking is excellent

you could well be right!

but I will say that this is a massive gamble by your club and also a knee jerk reaction.

I would say at the very worst with the money he's on you would want to play all matches and stear your side in the top 4.

I wouldn't call it a knee jerk reaction. When your first string five eighth snorts coke and gets found out some 2.5 months after the anti-tampering deadline, you can hardly expect that there'd be much available on the market.

It was either sign Witt or put Mullane in the number 6. Frankly, no amount of knee jerks to the balls could be worse than the latter scenario. :?
