IMO i think we have the nucleus of a good side with 3 or 4 astute buys we could be competitive, however besides that we really are suffering due to poor administration, poor coaching, dumb game plans and poor team selections...which we are always led to believe is the fault of the salary cap.

There's a strong rumour going Tedesco is doing his absolute best to line up V the Knights

I don't think it's for the teams sake but I think he really wants to prove himself fit for origin if he's any chance

why put farah in the halves.. we need a long term fix not a short one
The club currently has its long term fix and its not working.

Farah in thd halves sures up our defence and allows at least half of our long term fix to improve.

Better than the current situation.

Naiqama has been great in attack for us. His defence recently has been terrible but I think it's both him and Nofo. Naiqama makes his tackles as well. The issue is that he just runs out of the line.

I'm not sure though if it's Nofo, Naiqama, Moses or poor coaching that is turning that side into a complete mess. Something needs to be done about it but Naiqama hasn't always had that problem.
His defence has ALWAYS been terrible. No one else is to blame.

A genuine centre will hold back if his inside man is a poor defender like Moses.

Simona doesn't rush up anywhere near as often as Naiqama and yet has Brooks on his indide.

Every man in the defensive line also has to act as a cover defender. Naiqama puts himself so far wrong positionally that Nofoaluma will always be defending two men while his cover defendive help comes from Moses.

Naiqama has to hold his line if that side is going to have any hope. His rushing up forces Moses up and Nofoaluma back. Until he fixes that, i don't care how good his attack is, he should not be a centre.

He is a winger and nothing more.

1. Tedesco
2. Nofoaluma
3. Simona
4. Fine
5. Naiqama

Is far far better than anything we will trot out this year.

Does anyone really give a f**k anymore. ?? Honestly i have very little left and feel like doing an Alien and finding a club with half a clue . This place is just taking the piss out of each and every supporter.

Having followed wests and then the wests tigers for the past 50 years I am losing interest rapidly. Its just painful go on a continuing journey down hill with nothing that gives me hope for this week, this year, next year or any time after that.

I would love to see a new coach at the club next week. We couldn't go any worse than we are now. Taylor shows no hope of improving anything short term or long term.

You have no idea how close I am to do this. Wests Tigers isn't even my home team, all my mates support another club but for some reason I started supporting the Tigers a while back.

I'm THIS close to giving up. THIS f**kING CLOSE!

Does Farah have the speed to defend out wide where the halves are? I just think it might be detrimental using him as a half when his brain is completely wired as a hooker.

Farah will be fast enough and more importantly, will ensure the defence line holds its shape outside him. If the sliding defence works properly, then his slight lack of speed will be hidden.

Consider: Leave Farah & put Lawrence to 5/8th (worked well last time) and Balin to Lock?

It might work for a bit but I reckon Lawrence doesn't have any creativity. Farah will create something in the halves.

We need to do something though.

Fair points but do we not remember how absolutely shit Naiqama was on the wing? Couldn't catch a cold and let in more tries than he has done in the centres. He's a worry.

Sadly the truth is that Kev isn't & never has been a genuine 1st grader. He tries hard which is something u can't say about a no. of other players particularly the docile sironen.

If Kev hasn't learnt the basics of defending in the outside backs by this stage of his career he never will.

This is a club that is carrying an excess of players that r basically not much better than park footballers & a coach who is way out his depth as a mentor of kids who r still evolving as NRL std players & as a man manager.

Unless head office suddenly r endowed with business savvy, ruthlessness & a massive financial windfall(or scope w/in the cap coz Farah & either our 6 or 7 leave which releases 1.5mill) our predicament will not improve until @ least 2018 !

Finally I just want to thank Grant the merkin Mayer for the catastrophic decisions that were made under this lowlife shyster's watch & which we r severely being punished for.

He is better in the centres. Makes busts and doesn't get caught out with the high ball as much.

I don't think big changes are required to get him to defend better. If he doesn't fix it soon though he will have to go.

Kev can be a pretty lethal defender one on one it's his readings in defence which is the issue. I've seen him absolutely hammer blokes in 1 on 1 tackles before

It's something that needs to be coached into him then work on in it reserves then come back to 1sts. It's a pretty f**king important aspect to have if you wanna consistently play grade

What about Kev at 5/8th then?

Tigerted is right. Kev is not a 1st grader. He should be in NSW cup until he learns how to defend. Put Fine, Heleta, Peni or MCK in there or move Rankin across and bring in Addo Carr for the rest of the year.

We were that bad last week i find it hard to believe we could be favourites this week when the knights have had the wood on us lately.

JT said Kev is in a bit of doubt, Not that I wish injury upon anyone but I'd love to see MCK come in for him at centre and see how he'd perform in a starting side

Haha I thought the exact same thing. Either MCK or Fine would be good. Knowing Taylor though he'll bring Milone in.
