He's a fullback playing centre. He defended well against Manly, but last couple weeks been pretty bad. He has developed a bad habbit of going in and instead of staying out.

When he played a few games at centre at the Dolphins, he played on the left. This is when Andrew Voss was describing him as a baby Inglis.

Funnily enough, it's when Clydsdale is on that we actually look like a competent rugby league team. It's no longer a coincidence, it probably never was.[/QUOTE

Don't agree. Clydsdale doesn't offer much at all. The whole problem is we haven't got a a first class 6.7 or 9 to compete and lead at this level. To me the whole middle looks confused all the times, no one taking the reins. The reason the team is more competent when Clydsdale is on is because it's one less person calling the shots.

Clydsdale plays direct and gets us rolling forward. Gidley still wants to take those 2-3 hops sideways every time he gets himself into dummy half. It kills all of our forward momentum. At least Waddell only took the one step.

Mate, if you don't think Mullen is a top quality number 6 you should go away.

I think Clydsdale is miles ahead of Kidley. He is just raw and probably not playing to his potential yet. He should just play as long as he can week in week out and only put on Kurt when Clydsdale is resting.

Mate, have a look at the difference in quality of service from both Clydy and Gids. One gets the ball in front of our forwards/halves at chest height and the other sprays them at shoulders, knees or the ground.

That is the biggest factor in the success or failure of your go forward.

Gidley has never provided a good pass from DH.

In the last 2 years we had bedsy his service was almost too good.

Clydesdale is a good fit.

I can understand where doggone is coming from. It's a bit hard to form an opinion on a player when he's only getting 5-10 minutes each week.

f**k you Kurt Gidley. f**k you for stunting the growth of a very talented player
