Waddell needs to go, clydesdale can play 80 minutes. Let him play his natural game because he gives us another kicking option. It is now time to bring in Toka Likiliki. House needs to go. Boyd needs to be given a rocket.. Wayne needs to say whatever he said to snowden 6 weeks ago to Boyd.

That was a complete utterly brain-dead play from Boyd in the opening couple of minutes. I don't know what the hell he was thinking running the ball so close to the touchline. Reminded me a lot of Tony Williams in Origin last year where he did the same thing from the kick-off after NSW scored a try.

Jeez you lot make it sound like we're f**king Parramatta.

Not that bloody bad. Lost in the dying minutes because of an extremely rare error. Minus Aku, Gids and Bedsy. Boyd backing up, Scott returning from injury and Houston in the starting side.

Got some super dud decisions from the referee as well.

Yes, we're not as crap as Parramatta or Wests Tigers atm. I agree with you on that.

However, 5 losses from our last 6 games, which we have lead in every single match. We were COMFORTABLY a top 8 prior to the first loss vs Cronulla (which we should've easily won, but copped some costly ref decisions in that game). Now, I think we will be very lucky just to scrape into the top 8. We lose vs Storm next week and we could find ourselves well out of the top 8. Yes, we have been decimated with injuries this year but injuries can't be blamed for those losses.

I have a very bad feeling atm that, like in past years, some of these losses are going to prove to be costly in the final wash-up after our match vs Eels in Rd 26.

You sure about that? Maybe we should play them.

To be fair, even though we lost the game in the last couple of minutes, Saints were the better side overall.

The disappointing thing is that they were running 12th and we were playing at home with a lot to play for.

Bennett really has a lot to answer for with the way we are playing and how we haven't really improved since he came

Saints pressured us all game and the boys dropped the ball at terrible times. Frustrating yes but we are missing some influential players and Houston should not get a run in FG again despite his involvement in our try

Calls for Toka to be brought into the side are pretty premature given how fricken terrible his defence currently is. Our middle leaks enough metres as it is

There are some huge overreactions in here fellas. Some deep breaths need to be taken

Mate, the refereeing had nothing to do with it.

I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. We were absolutely caned in the first half by how they were policing the ruck. The second half we tried out-shit the referees first half performance and succeeded, winning that battle in a landslide.

Waddell is the worst dummy half in the comp

Yes. This, so much this. I hate him with the fire of a thousand suns.

I think I died a little on the inside after that game. Thankfully we're only playing the Storm next week. :sarcasm:

Houston needs to go, agree Clydesdale needs to start every week. Not blaming the refs for our inept performance but under Robinson we always get hammered, seriously one of our guys mst have hammered his wife between the sheets in the past cause he hates us

Waddell is just f**king shit. Just f**king shit. I have no other words to sum up how shit he is. Clydsdale tonight was excellent. Forced a restart that led to a try, his passing was spot on, his speed was excellent. If Wayne doesn't have him start next week I'll certainly be asking questions about his mental health.

House needs to go. This guy is just the epitome of someone who has gone so close to the top only to fall to the bottom. A few years ago, he was playing Origin quality football and tonight, I wanted to throw my phone at the TV.

Mullen was beyond amazing. His running game was excellent and he broke the line for than I could count. If Gower brings structure, he'll be absolutely phenomenal. His kicking game wasn't at it's best but then again, it only is when we manage to score in the corners or force resets. However, my biggest highlight was his defense. Notably when Dugan made a break, he crunched him and then followed it up. Overall, he was outstanding and it's unfortunate a fair portion of the team was poor because he would shined so much brighter.

Our forwards were good. We made good meters in the first half. Most sets I think we reach 40-50m. Scott was off understandably due to returning from injury, I think, too early. He copped a few harsh calls. Didn't think he "twisted" the Dragons player or was his "crusher" tackle had much in it. He'll return to form but It might take a bit. Smith was aggressive and that's what we need. A number of times he launched players into the air and just allowed them to crash onto their backs. Only way it seemed we could slow it down without getting penalized. Mason was quite and his error was rare. Still one of our best buys. Finally, Snowden continued the form he's had recently. Whoever lit a fire under his ass, thank you!

Overall, we done nothing. We had players who looked like they didn't want to be there and weren't motivated enough to really get stuck into it. Gidley does more than we realize. He cops it a bit, but we're a different side with him. Buderus can't come back sooner and so can't McKinnon. I do wish Mantellato wasn't injured last week because the blocks the Dragons were running on our attack kicks, he would have easily outjumped a number of players. On to next week where I hope Gower plays well. I really do. My expectation is that he'll bring the structure that will allow Mullo to run the ball more often.

We couldn't get any momentum. You can't win games without momentum. The fact is, they were holding us down for far too long and deserved to be penalized while we got pulled up for some absolutely soft crap.

I don't disagree it was a directionless performance, it was incredibly hard to watch because we done absolutely nothing with the ball. Mullo done his best, but the rest of the team was hopeless and just not motivated. I hate to say it, but Gidley brings structure. You watch our games where he plays, and we're well organised. I would have killed to have him in our side. It also didn't help to see Darius playing a slow game but that was understandable.

However, I still believe the refereeing was appalling once again.

Dude its "did", "did his best". A loss is no excuse for such appalling English

In Melbourne!

Mullo looked pretty devastated after the match. Feel bad for him. Maybe he should go sign up with a better team

I think today was a game where we really needed Cuthbo. He would have spiced things up a little and got us some second phase play.

I'm not hating on Gagai or anything but he isn't as dangerous as he was before his injury. Anyone know if he still isn't 100%?

Every week we come up with weak excuses for losing, I feel the team are not playing as a happy team, more a pressured team. Personally they need a bye and need to get a camp going. I feel that BENNETT is trying re invent the wheel, the wheel has dropped off, back to basics, maybe Bennett needs a break give Stoney the reins for a week or so he seems to be giving the boys in NSW CUP confidence. To be honest I cant see Gower fixing the problem we cant just keep using band aid players.
