Vaivai is definitely more explosive and harder to contain. He does have a great offload in him. He was arguably our best forward against Brisbane about a month ago.

Mataora seems a little fitter though and his defence has been excellent in FG. I'm pretty sure in one game he made 30 tackles and 0 missed which was pretty impressive for the limited minutes he gets.

I think both look the goods.

Mataora carts the ball up well, doesn't have the same explosiveness as Vaivai but he's much fitter. His defence is excellent and I've felt that we've been at our best in that area when he's on the field.

Both are starting to live up to the hype though and their NSW Cup form is starting to trickle into their first grade efforts which is excellent.
