Actually moving up in defence.
Tui and Roberts are doing ok in general play but the finishing and kicking game of Mullen is missed.

Carlos is slow trash. No complaint with him being shipped on next year.

Plus 1 for how good Tapine is. The ending of that court case has coincided with him showcasing his true wares.

Wouldn't have thought so.

I didn't time it but the fight back probably coincided with Newton coming on?

Ross's try was great work from him.

He's obviously no star but when we talk about "the Newcastle spirit" or whatever it is I would say he is showing that today in the front row.

Happy for people to disagree, I know he's not popular on here.

The speed of the defensive line has been fantastic.

We haven't done that anytime this year.

Will be interesting to see if we can keep it up for all of the second half.

Carlos doesn't show much about setting up the attack either.

Yep, Tapine has been great since he has been on.

I agree with Vossy (and yes there has been plenty others who have mentioned it as well) but if a player is on report for a foul play on the opposition who needs to go and get tests for concussion, the player who committed the foul should be sent to the sin bin.

The concussion tests takes 15 minutes and the sin bin should be for the same period.

Has to be said...all year we've looked a better side without Tariq.
Not sure if correlation equals causation here

Tariq is a second rower and hardly key to the sides fortunes. Plenty of times in games weve lost he has been the biggest if not the only stand out. Tough to figure the team is poorer with him in it

I think thats a tad harsh

I think a better compromise is for the "fouling" team to lose 1 interchange
