Yeah, we're real skinny in the middle in size and depth. Backs have cashed in when we get up the other end, but getting up the field against this big Parramatta side is easier said than done.
Just like to add that it really annoys me when players kick on the 3rd or 4th, when the opposition back 3 clearly have it well covered. We've done it twice now giving them easy metres. Then we just kicked early right after our FB butchers a TRY...

Nice ball from Burns to Pereira who did well to carry 3 eels to line only to come up just short...

I look at our line speed in defence early in the game to get an indication of our prospects for a win.

So move up quick boys and shut the play down!

In their face all night and you'll come away with a win!

And if I was Griffin I would be having our man Simms homing in on Mitchell Moses in the same manner that he done to the ex-Rorter Cooper Cronk a number of years back .

Nothing malicious mind you , just some good old fashioned ball and all tackling , similar to Brian ‘ Poppa ‘ Clay’s style - one hit and their down for the count !
Now theres a mans man Poppa Clay....when he hit they stayed hit....used to take the opposition head on...one arm around the backs of their legs and the other across their chest and just drove them...no need for shoulder charge rubbish with him....was fortunate enough to receive a trophy from Brian on presentation day when I was playing for Cronulla /Caringbah....lovely chap he was and of course I was in awe

He certainly knew how to plant them into the ground B.S.E. , in fact I am sure that a few wrestlers copied Poppa’s technique for the old ‘ barn ‘ at Rushcutters Bay Stadium .

It would had been a great memory for you to receive the trophy from him , it leaves a special feeling inside when that happens .

I received one from Artie Beetson back in the early sixties - I think it was and once again I also was in awe and forgot to thank him .

I am concerned that last weeks game may have taken a toll on our forwards. If Kaide Ellis has been selected on the bench, I feel it is a good move as it will give us fresh legs when the run on forwards begin to slow down.

Almost time. Hope the boys aren't too drained after their mighty effort last week. A win will see us back up to 5th a loss we'll stay at 7 or drop to 8 if Parra lay on some points,
Ellis might get us more metres than Po but Hook will likely give McGuire the 14 jersey when he arrives.

Be great if we got some good calls this week,
Come on boys, you can do it !

Last week was hopeful to win.
This week less hopeful.
But as long as we put in a decent effort that's all we can ask for.
See how we back up from last week.
If things don't go our way, this week we need to back up the good wins we've had in the last 3 wins next up.

Ford no rules says the 18th player can't play lower grade.

Again, Ellis is playing .
Ford obviously on the outer with Hook, guess they haven’t clicked. Shame for Ford he showed some potential. But with Burns now here & McGuire’s arrival imminent he’ll fall out of the top 21 squad.
