Hopefully the officials won't arse rape us with set restarts like they did in the trial game in Feb. Looking at some of the calls the Eels got last week against the Tigers I'm not very confident though.
Yes losing faith this year about us getting the rub of the green with my painted red and white eyes
Just wish the bunker would butt out’

Yeah I agree on all fronts

- a bizarre negative rub of the green against the Peptiides cost us 4Zip

Everything we do seems to be hyperscrutinized

And the bunker’s made the refs
cocksoft
& super timid.

I don’t think I’ve seen one on-field try decision this year thrown back to ref’s call by the increasingly more intrusive bunker?

Kerr did nothing more than shuffle that pass on (& backwards) FFS

The refs have always been unable to give 50/50 ‘knockons’ the 50/50 respect they deserve - just based on the law of averages.

The ultra conservative pricks just blow the whistle
... unless of course it’s Tedesco

Do we have the least 6Agains after 4 rounds?
Do refs tend to teamwatch the perceived poorer sides?

I was actually surprised Sims’ great try wasn’t pulled up for a forward pass.

Zac’s no-goal was given no affirmative benefit of the doubt -

And no onfield challenge is available if both linesmen wrongly concur?

Perhaps the options for captain’s challenge need widening
....wherever awarded or non-awarded points are involved after the line’s been crossed?

Somehow I’d like to see the ref able to override a bunker decision occasionally

....say where the ref awarded the try initially, but because of poor camera angles etc the bunker says “insufficient evidence of grounding of the ball” NO TRY etc

...Or the ref changes his decision in the interim?
Hell no!
Where would that lead us?

Well, hey,
more advertising revenue

Now that would take balls few of them have.

I might be cynical,
but could it be that the bunker’s increasing prominence is all about advertising revenue FFS?

Some of the refs are looking quite dumbfounded onfield in their interaction with players

- as to the reasons for anal retentive bunker stoppages of goalkicks well after tries are awarded

The bunker is a scourge on the game in terms of deflating the excitement.

I was going to say that its only saving grace may be that it can prevent corruption to a degree perhaps?

But there are still highly subjective unchallengeable howlers happening now on a regular basis IMO.

But anyway, there you go
.... a few opened Pandora boxes & scabs to pick

I reckon we’ll do the Eels by 20

...and ascend that ladder to heaven

I think the bunker took it upon himself to deny us the try because the next pass from Zac to Rav was forward. The touch from Kerr - if it did actually touch him - made no impression on the trajectory of the ball and Zac wasn't in front of Josh when he caught it. No-one else thought it went forward and no camera angle we saw supports the bunker. Terrible interference.

Its called apply some commonsense
Since when was the bunker brought into to get the microscope in the lab out on every potential detail leading up to a try. It should be used when refs cant make a decision and as you said overrule a clear howler.
What happemed to BOD and heaving absolute 100% evidence and surety to overturn the on field decision.
Shame on Annesley and his elite football opeartions team with his BS statistical staged dumb audience press conferences. Yeh he admits a howler is wrong..so what!. Nothing changes anyway.
Not one jouno in that room appears switched on to challenge anything.
Easy fluff questions and a waste of up to an hour of everybodys time.

Coach's preview: Round 5 v Eels
Dragons head coach Anthony Griffin takes a look at Sunday's clash with the Parramatta Eels.

I could listen to Hook for ages atm.

Loved the footage of Hook, Henry and Sowie chewing the fat. Would love to know what they were talking about.

Thinking about planting an ebay bug device in the grass for next week. Might even be able to afford and upgrade to a JBHIFI device if the Dragons get up this week.

Faamausili out Jackson Ford in
Williame still playing

Means we’re a little undersized but gives Ford a great chance to show us what he’s got before Burns becomes a factor.

Got a feeling hook may go with JP instead of Ramsey... those Parra wingers are big an powerful...
Ramsey’s defence has been pretty good aside from his bad drop against Newcastle. Bird or Dufty just need to put into some space so he use his speed. Picking JP would be a step backwards.

Off topic, Canterbury still without a win, life is good! :joy: Dean Pay must be smiling

Maybe , I am a bit concerned about the Eels Silvio (?) playing opposite Ramsey . I realize that Ramsey must be up to the task against all players regardless of size , however that Silvio has a true mean streak in him that I would not like Ramsey to be the victim off .

Nothing wrong in having horses for courses and in this game I am with you MarkD - go with Pierra against the Silvio .
