I’d take Hastings at the drop of a hat to replace Hunt
Are you serious ?
We have a wonderful premiership winning coach who knows what he is doing and believe it or not he has PLANS.
He just released Lomax a local junior who ONLY has size, attacking ability and can kick goals and with that money we have SAVED we now can re-sign Bird AND upgrade the salary AND extend for a couple more years our talented, successful, where would we be without him?, inspirational, love playing for the RED V jumper, CAPTAIN.
Yes! Captain Benny Hunt who wears the RED V with such pride and deserves to be a 10 year player at this club particularly since there are no good half backs around.
Flano also said there will be more changes.
IMO signed Props and wingers beware?

I want to believe that we are building to bigger and better things but we have the oldest forward pack in the competition, and we have basically one or two players in the present 17 you'd consider rookies.

A tonne of nrl experience all over the field in every position and we still play the dumbest footy of any team. We still look completely different from week to week, sometimes defensively, sometimes offensively, and never all too cohesive as a whole.

I can only therefore conclude that It's not a typical rebuild and a load of tough calls ahead of the coach - Hunt, Bird, JDB, Lawrie, Liddle for starters will have to be amongst players who would be chopped or asked to take major pay cuts to benefit the club. These are well respected players who collectively are not getting the job done for us. Then we usher in the new blood, the future.

It's amazing how many of us have stuck around.
I question my support at lows but I'm a dumb merkin who'll always come back for more. I just couldn't support another club.
Yep. We’re all morons, masochists, or a combination of the two.

I always laugh whenever someone who supports the dragons is accused of not being a “real fan”.

Only real fans are dumb enough to still be here after the last 10 years.

Back again after a loss. Where were you last week.
Last week we were so lucky to get the points against a team who completed at 69%
This week we went one better than them and completed at 65%

You might like to make out we were on fire last week but the true fans know what really happened. Please stop making excuses for your man the drug cheat coach.

I thought our starting middles completely bashed Newcastle out of the game. We finished with an average of 44 meters per set compared to 38.

The main reason we lost was that Newcastle's kicking game was excellent and our kicking game was poor. Our poor defence on the tries we conceded didn't help.

Thanks.... yes it was a tad disappointing especially as we endured nightmare conditions driving down from the Gold Coast the same day....won't happen again trust me
Hey BSE I'm sorry you had to sit through that, have done it many times at WIN and felt the same way, but I did say I was picking the Dragons by 20 because you were going, I got the score right just the wrong team :) Hopefully your drive back will be less painful, safe travels.

Spot on. But you better make that the last 14 years. This year is going to really test the true fan experience, we are in for one hell of a ride.
