Probably because Hunt doesn't like Bud , for what ever reason ......How poor was Amone?? Offered nothing.
If Bud plays yesterday we win. End of story.
But we'll see the same team next week and Bud in reserves.
Completely agree. Never understood the wraps on Amone even before the stuff that happened during the off-season. He’s average. And yesterday he played like our last 5/8, Corey Norman. Tackled multiple times on nothing plays. Perhaps that’s why Griffin likes him.How poor was Amone?? Offered nothing.

Never understood the wraps on Amone either, plus on many of our other juniors, they just don't seem to have it. I'm not sure what Matt Feagi offers other than a few solid hit ups out of our own end, he just seems to lack speed, which is critical to a winger, especially when the rest of our backline is slow as well.Completely agree. Sullivan plays yesterday, we win.
Our stocks all round are not great unfortunately in my opinion. It would take a miracle to get the players from our juniors and any outside good signings to have the players needed to be REALLY competitive. To me while we do have many juniors, I don't think that they are coached and developed well enough to be like those stronger/faster forwards and backs that so many of the other clubs have.Never understood the wraps on Amone either, plus on many of our other juniors, they just don't seem to have it. I agree with with your first paragraph RedVee. At least we had a go, but those dropped balls really bit us on the arse. The guys tried really hard. That’s the good thing. But they couldn’t get the job done. Dumb mistakes cost us as did some questionable reffing. But you know it’s our stupidity at times that’s allows the refs the easy penalty against us.
Bud Sully has to come back in, Amone or Mbye (another trier) can fight over the 14 & 19 jerseys.
I was disappointed that the last try was through between Su’a and Hunt. Who I thought were our two best players up to that point.
To be fair to Feagai how many opportunities do you see him actually given clean ball and in a scoring opportunity? He scored a fantastic solo try last year when he had some space to work with. However he’s just used mostly as a hit up machine trying to make yardage out of our own half. I don’t by any means think he’s a superstar but he’d look much better with the benefit of a decent pack of forwards and better attacking structures. In my opinion he’s just another of a long line of juniors suffering from a lack of good coaching, imaginative / modern game plans and stuck behind a sub par pack of forwards that get dominated week after week.Never understood the wraps on Amone either, plus on many of our other juniors, they just don't seem to have it. I think there is a chance of turning things around but first we need to sack Griffin and sign Hasler. From there on we will see a marked improvement:I just give up trying to analyse the Dragons.
Another year gone and just a waste even at this early stage because we have shown a lack of any positive consistency to complete any task.
We will be going through a further rebuilding stage given that Hook will disappear and players chopped and changed for the new year. It's like our club has been copped with earthquakes for over 10 years and our foundations have to be re-stabilised to start all over, time and time again.
Following this club has been really frustrating and disappointing to say the least.
Is there anybody on this Forum honestly thinking that we have a chance of turning the corner in the next few years? I am definitely of the opinion that we won't.
Not from where I was sitting he acknowledged what we all thought may have been the match winner at the time but no personal contact. I'll watch a replay to see if I was wrong but I didn't see a hug or a jump on himLomax did congratulate Hunt after his try.
If you follow the AFL at all you will be aware of St. Kilda, a team with a strong roster but a loser coach. couldnt get above 9th. They got ruthless for once and made a sudden and surprising decision to sack the coach ahead of their 150th season and appoint a competent experienced guy with a plan. Four weeks in they’re 4-0 and flying. Turnarounds are possible, this is not a bad roster we have, just need some changes in the leadership area, on and off the field and the team can become better, they’re mentally gone.I just give up trying to analyse the Dragons.

Totally agree mate. The Illawarra just doesn’t have the same calibre of juniors like the Riff or even Parra. We need to look outside our own backward for players. Or here’s an idea…like many other successful clubs do. Go out and buy established first graders.Never understood the wraps on Amone either, plus on many of our other juniors, they just don't seem to have it.
