I guess the 9 day turnaround wasn't enough to recover. Imagine how much Newcastle will wack us by after we play Brisbane and a 7 day turnaround.
Well it's relative to results against Newcastle, just like that grand final performance was relative to other results against Penrith. Whatever the result against the Knights the following week, you should assume it probably would've been better if we weren't backing up from Darwin.

How many days do you need to recover from Nth Qld? Is it 10,11,12? I am curious.
I'd say 5 would knock you about. 7 would be fine. 9 and your body would be back to 100%.

You are the guy who argues players don't need to be rested as they are fit and can play each week. So RCG and JNR are fine to play long minutes.
So what's the answer then? 40days to recover maybe?

You’d need to ask your mate Gould. He’s the one with experience running NRL teams. Or ask TheRam.

Well the number of minutes don’t matter or Yeo and JFH would be tired by grand final day. Maybe if you play too few minutes you lose fitness? We were told that Junior Paulo did a lot of fitness work while he was suspended recently, so he would stay fit. Maybe he should’ve been resting instead?

Yep, the army would make a point about becoming acclimatised if you went somewhere with a hotter climate than your home location. There’s a whole program you need to follow. Or at least say you did.

I’m rewatching the game right now on Kayo. Was at the ground on Sunday so it’s good to get a closer look at what happened on tv.

I swear Blocker has to be the dumbest bloke to ever sit in a commentary box. The amount of utter stupidity that comes out of his mouth is unfathomable. I remember Fox Sports got rid of him a while ago. Why on earth would they bring him back?

Do you think Jnr looked fitter on Sunday?

I would have thought there would be more rain about in winter, you know being winter and and all?

Serious question.

Serious answer,

In the tropics, they don't refer to it as summer and winter.

Wet = Summer

Dry = Winter

Do you have a source for this or did you make it up?
I had my TEAM LIST POST deleted due to NO source yesterday. I found that very odd as it was a screenshot and hardly something fake.
But rules are rules. And what's good for the Gooose ( you being the goose) is good for the gander. I'm the Gander whatever a Gander is.
Provide me a source so I can rest in peace

We had incidents in the past where team lists were posted and were wrong, and they were used as a source and the wrong teams were posted online, hence we've asked for team lists to be sourced for about the last 10 years.

There is a reason we do everything that we do, not that I need to explain that but giving you the BOD.

With 7 being the regular standard and optimum, I would say an extra day and 17 minutes for every degree over 27 degrees.

I have spoken.

I think we may of been 34mins away from peak fitness.
Pou was right so I apologise. We needed 34mins extra rest to be ready for the grand final. No wonder we didn't win.

Not freakin wrong. But it would be a neck and neck race between the Undescended Testicle and Mark Punch-On Carroll.

They both make watching the footy unbearable. Honestly I would almost put Pou in as an expert over those two fossil boofheads.

I did say almost.

We didn’t win because our team wasn’t as good. We knew that after 25 rounds. Even after the solid win in Townsville we were paying over $3.

The point is we fatigued very quickly. It was obvious if you actually watched the game.
The heads dropped after that first try, we were gone well before we had a chance to fatigue. They put a few shots on and as usual if we can’t win the collisions early there is no plan B.
