Boyd and Gidley, IMO are holding Mullen back. He was fantastic when they're not involved. Clydsdale gives Mullen the ball when he wants it, rarely scoots and goes for himself. Gidley? Thinks there's something on, ignores Mullen and makes 10m.
Thing about Boyd is Mullen serves him opportunities but he can't put the polish on it. So many great halves do simple things that are magnified by the finish and Boyd just isn't doing it.
This week restored some hope that we'll bounce back, find some form and get ourselves to September, but f**k, just another week goes by with little results and it's another week I'm afraid after Round 26 we'll look back on and regret not getting the win. I can take a loss, a close loss and especially to the competition leaders, but tonight we had that, we should have put them to the sword, nabbed the two and returned home having some faith that our position doesn't reflect the quality of our football.
And Mullen gave Reynolds a lecture in class and ability. If the f**king idiots still don't see Mullen was a logical selection then they need the sack.
