Can't wait to read all the ball gargling that's going on in The Mighty Newcastle Knights facebook group

Ok, I want to join the #sackboyd bandwagon now. I'm over him. I'm surprised he got to the ball Jimmy (sorta) kept in on that 40/20.

Well, I was wrong, Mullo can not get a start for NSW. He ain't got what it takes to get a team home. We have the worst attack in the NRL.

We're just so f**king dumb. We should have won tonight... But too much stupidity. Way too much. Too many low percentage plays.

The 2 protected species in our team - Gidley and Boyd, are screwing us pretty badly too. There's nearly $1 million of the cap in those 2 names.

There was a lot of dumb going on around him, too. Darius hogged the ball at the end to ill effect on the left.

You are blaming that on Mullen? Seriously?

Mate, he was head and shoulders above every half on the field tonight and had his fullback, hooker and halfback f**k nearly every oppoutunity he layed out for them

That's true, Mullen was easily best half on the park and it showed. He had a couple of forgettable moments, though... the poor effort on Williams and the bomb at the end were pretty awful.

At what point does Bennett actually start giving a shit and blistering the paint from the walls at the press conference.

He just shrugs his shoulders and lets the refs off the hook each and every week. They respond to the kid gloves treatment by screwing us next week.

And seriously, our team is truly useless, forget two miracle weeks last year, this group is mediocre and based on our stellar recruitment thus far in 2014 we shouldn't expect much more in 2015.

Boyd and Gidley, IMO are holding Mullen back. He was fantastic when they're not involved. Clydsdale gives Mullen the ball when he wants it, rarely scoots and goes for himself. Gidley? Thinks there's something on, ignores Mullen and makes 10m.

Thing about Boyd is Mullen serves him opportunities but he can't put the polish on it. So many great halves do simple things that are magnified by the finish and Boyd just isn't doing it.

This week restored some hope that we'll bounce back, find some form and get ourselves to September, but f**k, just another week goes by with little results and it's another week I'm afraid after Round 26 we'll look back on and regret not getting the win. I can take a loss, a close loss and especially to the competition leaders, but tonight we had that, we should have put them to the sword, nabbed the two and returned home having some faith that our position doesn't reflect the quality of our football.

And Mullen gave Reynolds a lecture in class and ability. If the f**king idiots still don't see Mullen was a logical selection then they need the sack.

That game was there to be won, but blundered at crucial moments.

2-6 now. Unless we put in a stronger performance than the 2nd half of last season and go on a Parramatta 2009 type winning streak, we will not feature in the finals this year. It's going to be very hard to come back from this.

The bomb I can forgive, he was forced into a hail mary position and there was nothing on. The missed tackle less so but 1-1 with Trex is a big ask to be fair

I would make a long post on my impressions but I'm gutted. That's pretty much the season, so I'm just going to order some more beer here at the pub.

Not really saying he should have made the tackle, but his contact should have been better, and it usually is. Scott should have been there to help, too.
