Don't mean to intrude on your forum lads but I just trying to see if anyone has any late mail on tallis Duncan's injury?

Looked a textbook hammy tear while watching the game but he's named in the team, which was a surprise.

He's in my fantasy team which is the main reason for my enquiry.

Well, he's been named to start this week but that doesn't mean he will. Still, I'm surprised and hopefully he is right to go.

There's no new news about Cam. It's just journos speculating and nothing from Cam or the rehab team. Zero Tackle quotes the SMH article on Smith possibly coming to Souths where they throw in Cam being "likely" to miss the season. That's just their blind guess. If anyone can make it back earlier than average, it's Cam Murray. They also add Willie Mason's opinion it could be good for his longevity which it might. But if we're in contention to make the finals for the first time in 3 years, if Cam is fully recovered, he would want to make it back to help and we would want him back too.

This is the smh article about Smith where they throw in a line about Cam at the end but it is not an actual update on Cam. Just scuttlebutt.

Wait and see
Not sure you understand my question handy. What I want to know is the source of your info. Things get bandied about here and there so I always like to check out who and where the info is from. If it's from the club, the nrl official site, that sort of thing, then I'm more inclined to believe it. But as we can see with the story mentioning Cam Murray being out for the full season, there's no new evidence to support that. It's just talk. So, just wanting to know your source please mate. I'm not questioning you or meaning to offend you in any way.

When I put something up on here or elsewhere, I try to back it up with the link or say where it's from if it's meant to be fact and not just my opinion.

I'm not saying I don't think it's true. So can you tell us where you heard it please mate?

Well, it depends how bad it is. I haven't noticed anything in the media about it (hip). Also, journos are not exactly tip top when it comes to accuracy. I like to wait until we hear it from the horse's mouth i.e. the player himself or someone at the club gets quoted.

All good mate. Let's hope he is good to go. ;)

Rabbitohs fullback Latrell Mitchell is on track to return to the field for his side's Round 5 clash with fierce rivals the Roosters, with another favourite son also nearing a return.

South Sydney coach Wayne Bennett provided an injury update on a host of his stars on Friday morning, with Mitchell the biggest name of all.

In revealing the 27-year-old will return against the Roosters, Bennett also confirmed Mitchell will play fullback, with Jye Gray likely to adopt a utility role.

Veteran winger Alex Johnston is also nearing the final stages of his recovery from an Achilles rupture and he is set to return in the next fortnight.

Off-season recruit Josh Schuster (calf) is also 2-3 weeks away from being healthy while Euan Aitken (pectoral) is on track to line up in Round 6 for South Sydney's clash with the Cowboys in Perth.
