Congratulations Rhys, lets see you get back into that great form we all know you have.
Starting against the Penny Panthers this weekend. YEOW!

I wonder if this means that the coaches are not confident in Merritt at fullback. In my opinion Merritt is giving us quite a few more options at the back, but fingers crossed Wesser proves me wrong.

Unlucky for Souths.

I thought theyd be smart to throw a few bags of cash at Nightingale to play fullback. Wouldve been a huge step forward imo.

I have no probelm with Wesser staying at Souths. Just as long as its for one season only which it is.

He may start 2011 as our #1, but I bet you he doesn't finish the season in that position.

How is he bad? he is solid, not as good as he was in 2003, which is the best I have seen a fullback ever play (bar Hayne).

Merritt is a much better option at the back, but Wesser is far from the worst.

As Bumble says, lets spend some doshiola on retention as well. These kids are pretty good. Dylan is well, plain sensational.

I'm happy for our side to blossom for another year. The quality on-paper is phenomenal, and they deserve more than one year full of injuries to work. As for Wesser, knee injuries take a long time to come back from, but we've seen patches of brilliance

for fullbacks- 5th most metres this season, 6th most tries, 1st in number of games played, 3rd in line breaks, 5th in line break assists, 8th in offloads, 5th most tackle breaks.

He must be doing alright considering his rankings are a lot higher than his teams place.

Sure he is not the greatest fullback, but he is fairly reliable and he cant be too expensive so this allows us to spend money elsewhere.

How is Merritt a much better option at the back? The area that I think he would be stronger in is his support play but Wesser is much better under the high ball and running the ball back. Both players have their strengths and weaknesses from the back.

He may have won us one game this year, but has lost us many with his terrible defence. If he remains at fullback next year we can kiss our hopes goodbye again.

He may have been good once but should'nt they leave one year early then one year late. This will be another Peachey episode.

What a waste of $$$$$$$$ and they expect fans to keep turning up and paying $ for membership.

Looks like the Richo boys club is infesting the bunnies.

I hope we dont lose some of our upcoming juniors.

Interesting, I thought for sure that he would be gonski.

Has not impressed all season, makes far too many errors and is far too nonchalant when the pressure is on. (or off for that matter)

Need to tell a bit more of the picture! 22nd in avergae runs per game, 22nd in average metres per game, 15 in average kick return metres per game, 4th in missed tackles, 4th in errors, 5th in penalties.
