Because it's so long from now, we will have to wait and see. I say mid-year, but I don't mean literally to the day. Whenever the time comes which will be mid-year or thereabouts. It's estimated to be around May or June when he might be ready to start playing again.

If Humphreys is killing it though, then perhaps our plans might change. But we're talking about what the plans might be looking forward from this point in time. So, you have to think of contingency plans. And I don't see Smith as a trouble maker at all. He's cheeky but that's not the same thing.

As for props, who else is there except a no name? Wayne has found no names and turned them into names before. He can do it again. Meanwhile, we have edge forwards that can also play middle allowing us to play an extra edge on the bench like Schuster if he comes good which is another way to go.
When I read that both Lodge and Bateman were rejected going to Souths, I admit I immediately thought that Wayne wanted to save the money for Brandon Smith.
I don't think that story has finished being written yet.

I hope sullivan is better than sillyass ilias and hawkins combined cause those 2 duds are/were not first grade players by any stretch of the imagination.to me for the past 5 years we just seem to let anyone play first grade it was definitely not that way when the ARL ran the game.infact in the 80's when the dogs played parra in the finals it had heart the mob who run it today has lost its mojo since super greed started and has no heart since money became their God!!!.blind Freddy knows the purple puke are gonna walk it in unless they have 10 internationals get injured then penrith can roll em again id like to see that i respect penrith not the made up purple puke with only loiero as their only victorian player that has ever come thru their system since debut in 1998.

Why you keep saying smith mid year is beyond me!! His knee wont be right till 3/4 of the season, and then it will take him a while to build confidence etc, if we are going to make a play u get him for 26, but if humphrys goes well why would you blow cap on troublemaker smith, as the 25 season goes on it will be evident we need props, and we will need cap for that
The Roosters might decided they need him by the end of the season if they get injuries and are in the finals race. Injuries are inevitable .
The only way I can see them releasing him is if they have a disasterous and have no chance of finals.

Handy talk to R20 mate he knows what's going on we got dumb & dumberer stifling our progress.
Nothing will happen Solly is protected.

We should only entertain Sullivan if he walks away from Tigers money and we pay him 200k. 300-350k is too much for a bog average player like him.

On another note talk around Moale, Munro, Duncan will all extend.

Also Bateman his signed with the Cows for more money than we could offer Tigers don’t chip in as much for him to go to the Cows.

Sullivan will play for us in 25, but the deal is if he dosent perform or dodd plays good and we dont need him he goes back to the tigers in 26, also if he isnt happy he can go back in 26, i say thats in our favour, still dosent help our forwards being short props

i dont really get this deal so our halves depth is

7. Dodd/Humpreys
6. Walker/Gray/Sullivan

why do we need so many halves.

Are we preparing for Walker to retire next year?

Considering how many injuries we had last year I think I'd rather have even more depth. Sullivan wouldn't be on much coin so it doesn't affect the salary cap negatively either. Seems to be more of a positive than anything.
