Hymel Hunt made the trek to Newcastle last week to discuss contract.
Hymel is backup i dont mind if he goes providing we continue to sign more youngsters who could develop more than hymel. We have got Athars who should be better next year after his injury plagued year at the bears the new signing from the donkys corey Allen who played u20s state of origin and hopefully like campbell they will come good.
I can see though, like after 2014 when everyones money / pay went up and we couldnt afford to buy anyone and we went down it seems to be happening again. In the end we couldnt afford to replace crighton due to upgrades

There are also the likes of Burns, Hiroti and even Doueihi who are really coming through and can play in the centres.

If it is the case though I think Tracey is ready to step in next year and he could definitely do the job as well. However I don’t know how much Centre he has played.
I think Tracey is ready to be a good half backup. However he is a small framed kid and I don’t think he’s got the versatility that Doueihi has, not many do. I can’t see him in any other role, maybe dummy half at a stretch. But let’s just cross our fingers for a quick return.

Another full pre season with our first grade side will do Tracey the world of good imo....

No news on any injuries yet. But I'd say Doueihi will certainly be season ending, even if it's not worst case scenario. I really hope it's not worst case because like some of you are saying, if it is, he will miss a bit of next season. Tracey is ready to step up next year though for sure I reckon.

Gee, I hope Campbell is good to go!

It took GI 12 months to get back on the paddock from his ACL injury so I would guess that Doueihi could miss quite a number of games in 2019.
