Hey Callmack1,

I understand what you are saying, but with all respect I have to disagree with you that for Sutto to go out as a premiership winner that he needs to retire after 22 this year. I believe he could go on for another one or two years and have the same option. Please bear with me as I explain.

As you know I am a numbers man, and as such I have been crunching the numbers on Souths premiership chances this year. Whichever way I look at it, it appears that mathematically we will definitely win this years title. As you are well aware in the lengthy history of RL in this country the Rabbitohs have never lost a premiership in a year that ends in 14 (1914 and 2014). Now I am sure that even those of us with the most basic understanding of Mathematics can appreciate that as we have never lost a premiership in a year that ends in 18 (we absolutely blitzed them in 1918 from memory), it follows logically that we will definitely win this years title.

Now that is basic Mathematics, and as we all know when the numbers stack up the numbers stack up.

Now Callmack, I hear you ask "How can you believe that we are any chance in 2019 and 2020, when we failed to win the comp in either 1919 or 1920?". Excellent question Callmack, and this is where it gets complicated.

I have been developing an extremely advanced theory on premiership mathematics, and I warn you this is extremely complicated shit. Perhaps someone like Itsa with MENSA level mathematical abilities can do a peer review on my findings, because whichever way I look at it they are not only conclusive, but also mathematically irrefutable.

Here goes.

In years that have started with 19, Souths have won 20 premierships.....

I have spent days on end looking at these numbers from every angle and whichever way I add them up I come to the undeniable conclusion that Souths will also win the premiership in 2019 and 2020.

Numbers do not lie!

So whilst it may be nice for Sutto to go out as a winner on the back of achieving 22 this year, I hope you can also see that if he still has the desire to go on and his form holds up, it would be even better to go out after the threepeat.

Once again, if anyone can review the above numbers and tell me where I have gone wrong please do so. However, if I've got my maths right it is irrefutable that we are going :

BACK to BACK to BACK !!!

Cheers Stan.
Seems legit
That’s some serious “Beautiful Mind” shit right there.
I’m just imagining all your windows have texta working out on them and now you’re off to your job as a janitor, “Good Will Hunting” style.

Good morning Stan
There is definitely a case for 2018 due to predictability and pattern of events and randomness being taken out of the equation, but not featuring in 1919 and being runner up in 1920 turns the equation into random events.
But I hope your right dearest Stan!

Yes Rabs very tough.I noticed that you mentioned in another thread that Gagai needs to step up,absolutely Rabs he definitely hasn't set the world on fire and for the coin he is on would expect more from him.
No better time than now to step up to the plate and prove to his many doubters including myself that he is in the elite club and is capable of his origin performances at club level.
I know you don't try to fix something that isn't broken, but I feel a bit of a shake up may be needed in our backline.
To get Gagai more involved with attack I seriously suggest moving him to fullback, shifting Johnston back to the wing as I don't rate his performances at fullback at the moment and moving Jennings to centre playing inside of Johnston,I feel this would be a lethal combination.

Hmmmmm, seems legit bro haha ;)

On another note,

Souths give Seibold breathing space to decide future: https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/so...g-space-to-decide-future-20180726-p4ztt4.html

Good call from Seibs as he really just wants to focus on us this year which is a great call. I think it's absoulutely vital we keep him though, there's no doubt he's a talent, a real gem and we must do everything in our power to hold onto him.

There will be a big chance that Seibold could head to the BRONCOS.

He is a Qlder;born & raised in Qld at Rockhampton--educated in Qld--a Masters in Education from a Qld Uni!!
Worked as a Lecturer at Sthn Qld Uni!
He has been Asst coach at the Storm & played for the Broncos for 4 yrs.
He has been the Qld SOO Asst coach for a few yrs as well!!
His major experiences in Aust. have been with Qld players who figure strongly at the NRL clubs of the Storm,Nth Qld & the Broncos.
His future ambition would be to coach the Qld SOO team which would probably be enhanced by being involved with the Broncos!!
We will have a tough job on our hands to retain him!!

Rumour of Hymel Hunt to Newcastle!
After he nearly single handedly gifted the game to parra saturday i say Go!!!! He hasn't set any records the last 2 games and his much publisised defence has been garbage i wouldnt hold him back. Id find another youngster surely Athars or even our newest exbronco could give a better effort

Douiehi would be next in line I'd say....

Yeah he should've made the tackle on Jennings but Cody should've helped in the tackle...

I wouldn't mind keeping Hymel as I reckon he's a pretty handy player, he just needs to be more consistent with his efforts. Like I say, I'd like to keep him for depth but if he does go, we have a lot of young, quality centres coming through.

Whilst I do agree that we need to do everything we can to keep Seibold, we may not be able to keep up with the Bronc's in a bidding war on him.
With the new salary cap on football departments coming in, some clubs that overspend on their head coaches will find them short for talent in support staff. Unlike the Bronc's we don't seem to be able to find ways around the cap like they seem to be able to.
I'd just hate to see us spending the farm on Seib's and being left short for quality elsewhere around the club. Hopefully though we can crunch the numbers and make it work without losing Seib's.

Greg Inglis advising Seibold to go to the Bronks?
Inglis is a mercenary!

Hymel can't tackle, he is the weak link in Souths backline
