As it stands atm I think Sam is needed in the front-row.
Most definitely....

Southy I think Cody will leave us after this season...

Don't think we can afford to keep him at this stage..

Mind you Doueihi will be getting offers from elsewhere so it sure will be interesting...

Well my preferred lineup is

8. Tom
9. Cook
10. Sam
11. Fuimaono
12. Crichton
13. Murray

14. Sutton
15. Martin (provides coverage of hooker and lock)
16. George Burgess
17. Musgrove

The coverage of that forward pack is insane. If George Burgess and Musgrove don't perform then make way for Johnstone and Rodwell.
I think there will be a few ahead of Martin to begin with....

Turner
Britt
Talakai

For examples.....

Cody will probably leave, maybe Doueihi will take his spot? Still there is more water to go under the bridge before any of this happens.

They're all second rowers and I think playing a utility that can cover lock and hooker makes more sense than playing 2 second rowers of the bench. Especially when murray and Fuimaono can both play big minutes.

Murray can cover hooker if our hooker gets injured in a game anyway....

Maybe will see Martin at about the halfway point in the season...

That's good news, where did your hear that?

Souths twitter. :) They seem to release everything official on twitter first. I enjoy reading stuff from Seibold, he is very articulate and great with interviews. You can tell he is a lot more educated than most NRL coaches.

There are a few here that underestimate Turner, I don't, new coach new opinion, a lot of the preseason training will start to format the coaches plan, we have a good young line up and good depth lots will be pressing positions so I hope the coach will go by the motto Go hard or go home!

It's not that I underestimate Turner it's just that I put Sutton, Fuimaono and Crichton all ahead of him. I think there's only room for 3 second rowers in the top 17. I don't think he's cut out to be a prop he looks much more at home in the second row.

In the modern game I believe you need your props to have big motors and be able to help dominate field position. You generally want your props to be big lads with powerful leg drive. Unfortunately I don't think turner adds this to our prop rotation. However I think he is a second rower with a great ability to break through the line. I would be calling him up first if Fui, Crichton or Sutton was injured.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see how Turner's season progresses under Seibold, no reason why he shouldn't go up a notch or two.

Id of bulked him up 15kg and played him at prop...he is too lean in my opinion

Mine is exactly the same bro.

In regards to Clark, I'm not fussed if he leaves. Been a fantastic clubman and is Souths through and through. However, he is getting on a bit and like some of you said, that's more cash for Crichton.

Good to hear that Seibold has stepped down from his Maroons role too. I'm really liking Seibs so far.

He is the perfect second rower build, that's the problem. We don't need players like that in the prop rotation. I don't think there's any point of him trying to play a position his unfamiliar with, I think it's great to have depth like him for the second row. He is a good lad with a good work ethic and I think when Sutton goes next year he is definitely in the top 17.
