Channel Seven's rugby league reporter Josh Massoud has teamed up with Triple M to dish the insider league news alongside Liam Cox.

It’s called The 7th Tackle and they run us through the biggest issues in the NRL this week. See below.

Tackle One – Crowe quadbike spin no joyride
The Rabbitohs can thank Mitchell Pearce for drawing attention away from their ill-fated summer camp on Russell Crowe’s farm.

Luke Keary’s stunning walk-out was merely the culmination of a very rotten night, which spun into chaos at the property’s bar.

According to two players we’ve spoken to, Crowe upset some of the team by riding a quadbike in close proximity to their tents.

Suffice to say, these players weren’t impressed and Keary found himself riding solo in a taxi bound for Coffs Harbour airport shortly afterwards.

We contacted Crowe’s representative for comment.

He wasn’t aware of the quadbike incident; and also claimed players he’d spoken to weren’t aware either.

But there’s no debate the next morning presented a huge headache for coach Michael Maguire.

Players tell us he addressed the team with a degree of remorse over what transpired the previous night.

Maguire took it upon himself to shoulder more off-field responsibilities after Shane Richardson left the club last January.

That took a toll on him; and began to extract a price from the team late last season as jaded players were run into the ground.

Richardson’s return this week will have put Maguire’s mind at further ease.

Our spies on the Central Coast say he looked very relaxed last weekend, on a mini-break with his family in Terrigal.

And as for Keary? Well his days at Redfern are surely numbered.

We’re told the club had an offer on the table before Christmas. It has now been mysteriously withdrawn.

The Titans, Panthers, and Dragons shape as the obvious contenders for his signature.

Tackle Two – Top mind coach joins Rabbitohs
There’s no denying issues at Souths have cooled their burrow over the warmer months.

And that might explain why coach Michael Maguire has welcomed one of Australia’s premier sports psychologists into his organisation.

Mind coach Garie Dooley is best known in rugby league for his recent work with the NSW Blues.

His addition to Laurie Daley’s 20-man coaching staff in 2014 coincided with NSW’s lone series win for a decade.

That work earned Dooley a fine reputation among some of the State’s top players – particularly at Wests Tigers where it’s understood Robbie Farah, Aaron Woods and James Tedesco have all turned to him for advice.

Now Dooley has crossed town to Redfern, where we spotted him in a Rabbitohs polo at training recently.

Keary had an offer on the table before the crowe affair, which has been withdrawn, we cannot give him more than AR, it would cause unbelievable problems, Keary is a money hungry grub who along with Lee was leaking info, souths have decided to cut him free, free to LoL, rehabilitate his toe and tongue elsewhere, my pick st george where he will get benjis 600, ce la vive

I know he had an offer and was strongly looking at going.

Was the offer from Titans???

Of course AR is priority over Keary.

I know Keary wants more money but how do you know he was leaking info??????

So does that leave Cody to be our #1 5/8 this year?

Rumour on another forum suggesting that Keary could be gone before April.
