If the Cows drop two games, and we win both of ours, there is a very good chance that the Storm finish third.
For us to progress it needs to be asked:
Who would you prefer to play in the first round of finals, the Cows in Townsville (where we beat them this year), or the Storm at the SFS, with them playing some outstanding footy?
I've omitted us playing the Cows at the SFS as that is obviously our preferred option.

Would much rather play Cowboys in Townsville.

Mainly the physicality of a Storm match in the finals.

If we lost to them we'd be farked the following week.

Cowboys are a pretty young team and lack far more finals experience compared to the Storm.

Why go through the travel if they can rest that game and pretty much be guaranteed to not leave Sydney for the finals.

I'm gathering the team is aiming for as close to zero points scored against then in the next two games.
At this time of year every finals bound team has to have their defence spot on.
These last two games are very important for the team to get the defence ready for the big games.
It was an OK start against Manly, one try from an intercept.

I see Kent in the telegraph has just caught on us and the Cowboys had favourable draws this season. You don’t have to be Einstein to know a draw where you don’t play everyone twice is never going to be totally fair/even.

If you look at the draw at the start of the year we were playing teams that had made the 8 the year before so it was harder on paper then. You can't predict necessarily how teams will perform.

Yes you can judge a draw based on the amount of travel, turn around times between games to form an opinion on the ease of a drawer but not really who you play.

Pretty sure we were considered to have a middle of the run draw at the start of the year
