Wanted this a seperate thread because I noticed next weeks draw is in our favour.

Obviously Cowboys have a tough ask because South Sydney in Sydney but the timing is perfect. Sharks play dogs at 5:30 followed by the cowboys game. Pressure on them straight after our win (probable).

The following week we play after they play Penrith so we will know what we need to do.

Last night set us up big time.

South’s will be up for this too because the Roosters play the Storm before hand. They’ll want to win because they play the Roosters last round and potentially week 1 of finals.

So they’ll want to win to get them home ground advantage I’d imagine. As little as it is

Around the time of posting the last "Next 5 Games" thread I had last night pencilled in as a loss (as I'm sure most of us did).

The win puts us in the box seat now.
I think the Rabbitohs will handle the Cows comfortably next week, so all we need to do is retain our composure. Something which seems less foreign under the Fitz regime.

Very interesting 2 rounds coming with most top teams against each other.

Intriguing

Cowboys, Rabbits, Eels, Storm and Roosters all get bashed 2 weeks in a row going into the semis

Yes I've been quietly thinking the same to myself for a couple of weeks now.
It's going to be on pharquing tough month of footy for some of them.

Hoping they start to run out of juice before we meet whoever we meet come week 2 and 3 of the semis.

I'm glad we play the Dogs, they are starting to become a good side and will test us which is what we will need coming into a semi final. Not sure what Fitz will do against Newy, interesting scenario we have. It's been a great year for us so far, whatever happens from here on in.

Doubt he's sure yet. Still water to go under the bridge. He will take it seriously though, no matter who is named to play. He's going to have respect for their Old Boys Day.

Dogs got better this year BUT it’s obvious the teams playing for nothing lack motivation to stick the body on the line in defence. Talakai back hopefully will score a double. Big boopers up front continue the red hot form hopefully and we roll through them. Don’t need to rack up a score, just another cruisey win with no injuries or suspensions

I didn't.

Here's my losing bet from the game

Cows v Bunnies will be instructive; who’s the real deal? I don’t really rate either but I’d have my money on Souths. Interested to see how this one pans out.

Lots to be played out but
If the Storm beat the Roosters and the Cowboys were to beat the Bunnies, one (Roosters or Bunnies) will likely miss the finals.
Both will be on 28 points going into the last round and they play each other. Canberra are very poor, but I do expect they will win their final two games and finish on 30. I am no fan of Canberra but wouldn't mind seeing either Roosters or Souths miss out.
Whereas want the Cowboys to lose at least one, but if the Bunnies do beat them next week, they will receive all the favours against a Panthers team resting lots of players.
